What mood are you in and why?

I'm off to Vegas tomorrow and just got an email from the lovely people at United telling me that I've been upgraded to First Class from the flight from Newark to Vegas.

Sweet. I travelled in first with continental for the first time last year transatlantic Heathrow to Newark. One of the highlights of the month trip itself. Pretty much passed out after about 4 hours of drinking non stop complementary red like but still, good times.

Pair of cunts. ;) I'd love to travel first class. I think the hypocrisy on drinks is ridiculous though. First class - acceptable to get pissed for free. Cattle class - restricted to two drinks on an 8 hour flight.

I got upgraded to First once from San Francisco to Heathrow on a Virgin flight. It was class, and cos I had a connecting flight at Heathrow I got to mince about in the lounge there and get showered etc. Not a bad way to travel.

Don't mean to be a buzzkill or owt, but I wouldn't get too excited about first class on an internal United flight. I hope I'm wrong but I've done a canny few internal flights in the US with United and the seats at the front never looked that great. On the plus side, you can probably get wrecked for free!

Aye, I've had a look and it's not even a flat bed layout <_<

I've done First Class with Virgin before to Barbados and that's definitely the way to go.

No chance I'd pay the silly money they'd be looking for it though.

Also one of my sneaky tips for that part of town. You've done well. ;)

Relaxing after a two-dayer of family business and a wedding in Spalding/Stamford. Very glad to have tomorrow off, I wouldn't want to be back to work without some kind of real weekend (i.e. loafing).

Liiiiittle bit narked because the quizmaster didn't turn up to the pub tonight. "Illness" apparently, as if that's any kind of excuse.

Had a good chat with a couple of old friends and the red wine was above paint-stripper standard, though, so it turned out OK in the end.

That's a mood!?

Sorry, I forgot that every post in this thread had to start with an adjective.

Actually, rephrase that:

Hugely pleased and massively relieved. A couple of you may remember I took my Aca (chartered accountancy) finals in November and failed one. I took the resit in July and got my result an hour ago. Passed the bastard! Now, no more exams, ever, and I'm a qualified chartered accountant!
