Gemmill 44569
Amitriptyline just knocks you the fuck out in my experience. I was only on a low dosage. It was probably just reacting with all your other narcotics.
wykikitoon 20003
Forget the Physio IMO, see a chiropractor, they treat it more than a physio. Also, do you do any core exercises? Similar to Gemmill suggestion Yoga, get some core exercises done, it helps support the lower back. Try this one too Barney Edited June 26, 2012 by wykikitoon

luckyluke 2
I'd go see a doctor who can examine you, prescribe you painkillers (don't think there's much evidence of them working if it is really Sciatica) or refer you for an MRI as appropriate rather than take the advice of anyone (including me) off here. Barney 0
Wykiki, I was given that by the physio last week and another couple of stretches. I have a decent core through gym work. Not on any drugs yet, Gemmill. I'll give the physio another 1-2 cracks at the champ before I look at other routes.
Barney 0
Thanks Luke. I don't particularly want to go down the road of MRI's or drugs, even painkillers. I'm hoping to get through it by cutting out on the running and with stretches and work given by the physio. Cheers for the advice everyone. wykikitoon 20003
Good stuff. I used to run for years along side my cycling and I know a few people who have had it and trained their cores up better and its helped. A lot of the sciatic from speaking to people who have had it is to do with their discs and problems with that. After some time and work it has gone back in. Hopefully youll get there mate. Christmas Tree 4715
Great day. Built a beer store, made a curry, made another forty pints of beer and a gallon of alcoholic Raspberryade. Dr Gloom 21869
Yo Barney - I had sciatica in my 20s. I had a course of acupuncture, which helped a lot. It was one of the things that got me into the gym too as i was advised a strong core helps prevent this sort of thing happening, though it sounds like you already have that covered. good posture is key too. Barney 0
I have a feeling that my posture needs work. Acupuncture is interesting, if I'm getting nowhere with the usual methods I'll ask the physio. Thanks.
Brock Manson 0
Not the cheeriest. Some wanker broke my rear driverside mirror and it's costing me £120 for Autoglass to fix it. Luckily i'm with Admiral as otherwise it would've been £207! That said because my car has tinted windows they have to order a new window in so i'll have to put up with polyester and parceltape in the meantime. Brock Manson 0
I bought it from a used ford dealership - 40k miles on the clock so it was a great find, the tinted windows came with. The previous owner left a personalised license plate on it mind which i can't really be arsed to change: 1337 J69. Nee idea what that's about. Brock Manson 0
eh Brock it cost £80 total to get my rear and side windows tinted, if you get the stuff from the dealer it always costs a bomb for mirrors and daft things. they wanted £70 off me once to replace the heated wing mirror glass... i got it for £9.50 somewhere else. Not really fussed about having tinted windows but can't really have one tinted and one not. Just have to shell out and put it down to bad luck and hope it won't happen again. I was parked in a area with CCTV so I've asked the guy who owns it if he can see if the cameras caught what happened. It's either some twat with nothing productive to do or someone's caught my window with their door and done a runner. And Gemmil don't be hatin an ting yeah? You're just playa hatin because a brotha got tints you get me?
Meenzer 15467
Oh god. Just about survived the house move at the weekend, just about survived unpacking, just about survived disassembling, moving and reassembling a double bed with a pneumatic base thing (seriously, why would you?) on me tod, just about survived lugging and (worse) paying for a bunch of furniture for the new place tonight. So there's only the small matters of furniture assembly and cleaning the old place from top to toe between now and Friday, while working, and then I can finally relax. Except we're off to a wedding in Lincolnshire at the weekend. If there's red wine on the table, nee fucker else is getting anywhere near it.
