If there is little room to overtake then, out of courtesy, they should drop back. However, they are not obliged to.

The amount of motorbikes that screech passed me on country lanes, well, enough of them get killed so I wouldnt wish any more dead or injured.

Problem with this country, ever cunt is in a hurry and has zero patience.

I wouldn't wish them dead. Just a grazed knee for being dicks

Heart in mouth stuff when Thomas punctured like.

Aye, although I was hoping Thwaits to take it

I am chuffed for Thomas though, that emotion was basically

"Fuck you Brailsford you bald sack of shit"

Aye he did.

There is some unrest at Sky I feel though with Kennaugh coming out the other week saying they should have more faith in them.

I like Thomas, always a good rider. Especially when he was rimming out LA before the outfall

Ive got a feeling Kennaugh might be a bit of a bellend tbh. Some journo asked him if he was the IOM flagbearer for the closing ceremony and he responded that he wasn't, and that he wasn't sure why not and "ah well maybe next time".

I have always like Kennaugh, at the Nationals in 2010 I spoke with him briefly about his chances. He said he thought he could do a decent job. He ended up finishing 2nd to Thomas. He seemed quite chilled out. It wouldnt suprise me if he left as its his first pro team and he may want to prove himself elsewhere, but he is still young at 25.

Pantani was a great docu, they have actually opened up a murder inquiry into his death

Read that yesterday, interesting reading.

Shame they are not as transparent on the rest of their workings.

Shame with a massive budget like that they dont have a womens team. Well, thats not a shame, its a disgrace.

i do lots of medium length rides, around 35-45 miles during the summer at tempo. during that i do sprint drills and other things like climb rubbish hills. its about getting and making time. and being lucky with the weather and getting people out with you who want to push themselves!

No, I have the 500 which like yours, I can load routes onto it, but you follow a line.

Its ok for road stuff, but when I am MTBing in the Dales or what not I usually print map segments out. The Garmin 1000 is supposed to be mint like.

I have this trainer, but I didnt pay that much for it. Wait for the sales later in the year! I paid about £200 for mine. Infact, this is a decent price atm

Bought one of these (the tacx flow)! It was in the Wiggle sale, 45% off so took the plunge. I'm gonna knock Strava Premium on the head and have signed up for trainer Road instead. Looks mint but I'm terrified of this FTP test that it wants me to do.

Wykiki, in terms of sorting the bike into the trainer, what's the crack? I mean I've got it in there and it holds fine and the blue clamp thing closes properly (the handle thing that you turn). Is that all I have to do or am I missing something and in danger of flying into the garage wall. The instructions that come with it are fucking disgraceful.

All you have to do is take your rear QR skewer out and replace it with the Tacx one and thats it.

Calibrate it, you should have instructions on how to do it. Then it should be there with TrainerRoad.

Do the ramp test for TR after a day or so rest and then you will get a better, truer value. When I have been given the OK from the specialist for my wrist I will be doing a ramp test to see where I am. I am dreading it also

In terms of the housing that it sits in in the trainer though, do I just stick it in, lock the clamp thing and then make sure that the black plastic screw things on the other side are tightened up. Then from then on I just release it using the blue clamp?

I mean I got on it and was pedalling like a madman last night, so I hope so.

Calibrating the fucking thing as well. I've no idea if I did that right cos the instructions are so shit. I basically just did the thing where you pedal like a bastard, it tells you to stop and then when the wheel stops spinning it gives you a value. No idea if I have to do that multiple times or just once or what.

I might be on ramp test duty tonight. Legs are still a bit sore from Sunday but haven't ridden since then. I'll probably bottle it halfway through if it's too horrendous.

253W FTP apparently. I don't know if that's really accurate though (seems high to me although I did everything right with calibrating the trainer and setting my Virtualpower profile up etc), or just useful as a relative basis for TR to tailor future intervals in workout. It was hard fucking graft though, I know that!
