peasepud 59
Ive been doing a little researching and out of the 24 Championship clubs, 11 had their highest attendance against us, these were In total we gave these 11 clubs an additional 54,901 fans over their average (they would fill SJP and have 2,514 stood outside). Difference between our highest attendance and 2nd highest attendance (Sheff Wed) was 19,171 this is greater than the highest attendance of 9 other clubs and higher than the average attendance of 14 of them. It also trumps the average attendance of 2 Premiership clubs (Portsmouth and Wigan). Average attendance wise, we have 14,242 more on average than Derby who had the 2nd highest average. These extra fans make up more of a crowd than the average gate of 8 clubs and beat the highest gates of 3 of them (2 of those 3 were against us). Our total attendance (997,916) was 357,252 more than Derby (640,664), this difference again, is higher than the total attendance of both Portsmouth and Wigan. Compared to the makems we had 278,809 more in total. Even if we put them on an even footing by giving them 4 more games at their average its still 119,009 higher (these additional fans would fill their ground 2.4 times). Country wise we are the 3rd best supported club in the land only Man U and Arsenal have higher total attendances (1,347,108 and 1,078,574 respectively) against our 997,916. Average wise our 43,388 puts us in 4th place overall with Man City joining Man U and Arsenal above us.

Guest Barrack Road
I'm surprised that its only 11 out of 22 to be honest. There's looking at it like that which makes it look impressive, but the most impressive thing of all is on nufc.com. When we were in the Premiership over the last ten years, every season we've been in the top four for away attendance, not the amount of away supporters there, the overall attendance. Meaning we are the fourth biggest draw at worst over the last 10 year for home supports. So ask yourselves this why do teams get much bigger gates against us, than they do against the likes of Everton, Villa and Spurs, even Chelsea which I find staggering. Fuck knows why, but we're a draw and have been for a long time. Look at this and when you have look at the other seasons. http://nufc.com/html/2008-09html/homeatt.html When you go on that page scroll down to away attendances, and adjusted place at the side, which adds your home gate to the equation and divides by 20. We get relegated and it's fuckin 3rd. THIRD. More than Arsenal and Chelsea. I would love to see a Spurs fan try to explain why seeing as we're such non-entities. Fuckin mugs.
