I think he filled in at right back because Villa had no other options at the time like, and he'd be a big upgrade on Raylor/Guthrie but theyre nothing more than squad players and i don't think we'll spend a good few million for a player to do a squad role, only if as you say it is to replace an outgoing first team midfielder Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Howver, our main one missed - seems to be no plan B. I love this commment - says everything about the current regime.. Matuidi has been watched by Arsenal for three years and is rated at £13million by the French side. Newcastle hope to do a deal for around £8.5m So that deal will not happen then..
