Miggs 0
Anyone interested in playing American football but not got the time, money or commitment for full kitted?. I am head coach of the Newcastle Flare, a new team recently set up looking for more numbers. We meet in Ouesburn park most Sunday afternoons. We are a new team, so no experience is required. Reply here or contact Alan at : newcastleflare@hotmail.com for more details Cheers.

JawD 99
Why flag? Why not full contact? Doesnt matter about the kit. I used to play when I was about 17 (fuck me that was ages ago ) and we played unkitted. In fact, only seniors were allowed to play kitted. Was good crack at the time like. Its certainly a better sport to play than watch.
Toonpack 10002
Toonpack would love it. I'm 53 FFS and since my "Oh look, knee bends three ways" incident playing 5 a side in Turkey, I've retired from arduous pastimes.
Guest alex
You could always go and watch. Take a barbeque. That's what they do to combat the boredom, don't they?
Miggs 0
There's a full kitted team in Gateshead if that's your preference. I used to play kitted at uni, but due to my occupation now it's too risky given the high possibility of injuries. Hence why we're trying to start a non kitted team, for folk who love to play, but aren't interested in getting smacked about by someone 3 times their size! It's is also a lot more laid back and financially viable. Edited April 25, 2010 by Miggs

Whats the use in that? surely the only even slightly interesting bit of American Football is the contact?

The barbeque is before the game, when I went to Lambeau, it was 8am start for a Noon kickoff, Bloody Mary's to start (for some unknown reason) beer, steaks, venison (which had been walking around the woods the day before), Brats (They're all "Krauts" up there) Salad, Shrimp and more beer, Was minus something stupid degrees an all. Fantastic day
