Howmanheyman 33228
The tides are changing as is always the way in football, the window of opp is closing for the likes of Liv, Everton, Villa and balance will again come to the force.Everton have IMO come to the end of the Moyes cycle, things are slowing down there and the fight they had for the last few seasons is beginning to dwindle, Everton IMO need a change of manager. Liverpool through no fault of their own are at the mercy fo the banks and fiananciers and now the twin towers of Mascherano and Alonso have gone and Gerrrard is moving into the final phase of his career and alrmight rebuilding is needed (but with no significant cash), in the wilderness for a decade unless a mega-bucks owner arrives. With Villa losing MON who had them playing well above their station on quick counters and industrious midfiels, the loss of Milner and Barry is hurting and I'm not sure Agbonlahor will make the next level. The field is opening up for Newcastle to begin to fill this void over the next 2/3 seasons. Well put, Parky, but NUFC being NUFC I just can't see us climbing through that 'window'. We'll get half way through and cut our neck on a pain of glass. Shut up, man, it's my turn!

Final thing I'll say about Liverpool is they're mist arrogant set of wanks I've ever known in life. They believe they're a better club (which the have been), better supporters (fpmsl), funnier (pmsl), live in a better city (ahahahaha) and look down their nose at anyone who isn't scouse. That's my experience of them and considering what they really are it's hysterical, but you have to say from their point of view self belief is a real positive. You forgot the mass murder One thing I don't deny is they're an interesting club, interesting history, they're by no means an Aston Villa type club. You get that Liverpool FC TV free on Sky I'll watch it if they're playing our reserves, and I did that a while ago. After it there was an interview with this scouse comedian, and some ex Liverpool player from the 70's Tommy Smith it might have been. The topic was how many Liverpool fans made their way round Europe to watch them, and they were all hysterically laughing at how they did it, by robbing shops in places like Switzerland and Austria, people like Tommy Smith hysterically laughing "dey'd leave de Poowl wid a fiveh in der pocket, go oveh derr, and de next 'ome game haaf da Kop came back lookin Mistehhh T, wiv a an 'ole new wardllobe on" Whole studio laughing. I THINK that sums them up more than anything, coming from someone so senior.

shackbleep 0
Liverpool's board receives two new bids to buy club Liverpool's board met on Tuesday after it received two new bids to buy the club, BBC Sport understands. It is thought one of the bids is from Asia, with the other from America. A source close to the negotiations said: "Both would significantly reduce the debt and give the current owners their original investment back." But the club's co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett are understood to be opposing the sale of the Reds to either of the two parties. Three independent members of the board - managing director Christian Purslow, chairman Martin Broughton and commercial director Ian Ayre - all favoured a sale. But it is thought Hicks and Gillett are against accepting either of the bids as neither would see the American duo walk away with a profit. Liverpool were put up for sale by American duo Hicks and Gillett in April with debts of £351.4m. More to follow.

Guest Tuco Ramirez
Just when you think there's no more depth to the despise you can have for these people, they produce this. Utter crisis because they've come 7th, they sanctioned £135m in transfers in the three years they've been at the club. That's £45m a year since they've been there in transfers. Is it their fault Rafa's signings have been a disaster? Contrast that to Newcastle who were raped and pillaged for 40 years by Lord Westwood, the Seymours, and Gordon McKeag. 40 years. Not 3 when they've sanctioned £140m on transfers, and you get ones criticising our treatment of Ashley! Imagine if they did to Kenny Dalglish what Ashley did to Keegan. If there are any Liverpool fans reading this and only about 25,000 of you count, I speak for most in football with your sickening self pity, I hope you go bust, I really do you're a disgrace to English football. "Way of life" my fuckin arse, you're the luckiest club ever in the history of world sport, see how what you'll be like with 5 seasons in the bottom half and a season in the Championship, we'll see what your way of life is then, we'll see how special you are then you fuckin utter cunts. Park Life 71
There are no fukin bids. Liverpool's shambolic season hit a new low on Tuesday night as owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett blocked the sale of the club and attempted to remove two key members of their own board. Two new bids for the Anfield outfit were tabled earlier in the day, both of which have been described as 'excellent' by the Premier League club. Liverpool's board were due to meet to discuss the offers and give the green light for a change of ownership, with both prospective buyers promising to pay off the club's £282million debts. But in an astonishing move from American duo Hicks and Gillett, they turned down the chance of a sale and have now attempted to remove managing director Christian Purslowand commercial director Ian Ayre from the decision-making process. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6430498,00.html? :icon_lol: Edited October 5, 2010 by Park Life

It's amazing how lucky you get when your club is run in exactly the right way, all profits reinvested and the best people in each job to see that everything is geared up to win trophies, and we did win them, all with great pride. That was the way it was for nearly half a century, until two rip off merchants come along and changed everything. I for one couldn't give a fuck where we are in the table, would welcome administration and a loss of 9 points and/maybe relegation if it gets rid of the two cancers that have our club by the curlys.
