Isegrim 9909
1 point from a possible 9 to secure the title(?). Mathematically, yes. But realistically, West Brom aren't going to score 14 more than us in the last 3 games. Mathematically we would have to lose games, meaning our goal difference getting worse. OTF 7573
Makes you realize just how shit the teams below us are. A massive 20 points between us and 3rd and then 30 points between us and the last play off place. Crazy shite arse league. Probably shouldn't say this, but I thought it. Compare the wage bill and there's like;y to be an ever bigger gap
The Fish 10972
I knew i should of put a bet on! Got the scorers wrong like Anyway...great 3pts...MASSIVE 3pts....WE ARE CHAMPIONS!!! Now to confirm it at home against Ipswich, seal 1st unbeaten all season home record in 100 years and then break the 100pt mark! And add a bit of silverwear to the trophy cabinet!! I understand your enthusiasm, but dont say this outside of here. NUFC celebrating a return to the premier league is embarrassing

NUFC celebrating a return to the premier league is embarrassing Not so much celebrating, nothing to celebrate really....we have just righted a wrong imo. But we did that just in being promoted...winning the CCC is doing it and making a statement to all those people who slagged us and wanted to see us "do a leeds". Winning the CCC is a nice bonus. Monroe Transfer 0
Just got back from the match. Need to get up at 7 for work so no in depth comments right now but I will say this - the ref and Shola were truly abysmal.
AgentAxeman 189
What an absolute shiteheap of a league totally agree with Alex on this and it just goes to show the difference between the prem and championship imo. quite honestly, some of the teams we've played this season have been ABSOLUTE dog shit (in quality terms, not effort stakes). Rob W 0
we should be pleased but I'd feel a real twerp standing watching an open topped bus ride Lets face it -we should NEVER have gone down - this only puts us back where we should have been
JawD 99
NUFC celebrating a return to the premier league is embarrassing Not really. I don't think its embarrassing. Are we such a big club that we should only ever deserve to be in the Premier League? Too big to be relegated? No. Course not. We were relegated because we deserved to be. Now we are promoted because we deserve to be. I agree, no OTT celebrations and I agree that a wrong has been put right. However, as gutted as I was we went down, I'm happy that we're back up again. The lads at least deserve a good sending off at the last home game. It is they (and CH) who have grafted and kept their heads down this season and got us back up. It would have been easy to freel sorry for themselves and either leave the club or not give a shit.

Happy Face 29
The notion that we shouldn't be happy about promotion seems to me to stem from a will to overcompensate for dickheads like Mick Dennis who write articles that slate us collectively for stuff we haven't even done. He lumps in "celebrating promotion" with "making worrying noises on phone-ins. Nonsense about bringing back 'King Kev' Keegan or Alan Shearer as manager" and "tosh about Hughton not being the man to take the club to "the next level" before lying that "Toon fans believe all Geordies are special." and ending by wondering "whether the Geordie Nation can handle that truth." Some people seem to take this dross seriously and refuse to crack a smile over what has been a hugely succesful campaign. Ignore the cock man. No matter how much joy you drain out of the game for yourself, no matter how much you keep your shoes on, stay sober, sit on your hands only occasionally applauding a goal and seriously discuss the managers decision to go 4-3-3 as if that's the fun part of being at the match you'll never placate arsehole's like him or stop him making up shite. No-one with an ounce of common is advocating a bus top parade or owt. But if you aren't celebrating promotion as champions by a decisive margin then I don't know why you bother with football.
