Liverpool sliding into trouble.

The lack of Champions League money will hit them hard next season, and you can guarantee their pathetic support will dwindle to the 35,000 levels of the Houllier era.

Torres must be completely stupid to play for that club, in no way shape or form are they one of the big 10 in Europe, and he could play for anyone, I bet Ferguson would give his right arm to get him.

Reckon he'll go to Citeh in the summer.

This

Citeh will be up there next season, *bang* £100m for him IMO.

I don't think he'll remain in this country tbh. Italy or back to Spain IMO.

Taking delight in their possible demise aside, I can't make my mind up whether them seeking buyers is good or bad for us - it might mean any potentials would be attracted to them but at the same time it may flush out some money from someone who would then see us as a comparitive bargain.

Depends on our price really. 500m for Liv is probably 50m too high...For us if MA was asking 250m then I reckon there would be more chance.

Call me an old cynic (and you can because I am) but nobody is going to pay £500m for Liverpool or £250m for us - or anything like it. Too many clubs are mired in debt - clubs at anything like these prices are (very) rich man's playthings - they don't make money. NUFC are more likely to be sold in the sense that MA is more likely to be able to get the £80 -100m he was looking for. I just don't buy this received wisdom of our price doubling on promotion. Could be wrong like but thats my honest call.

Money Talks, Money Talks, Dirty Cash I want you..............

Although, the taxes etc they pay in this country now I wouldnt be suprised to see a lot more of the big names staying away.

Spain are getting rid of the 'Beckham Tax' soon enough, I think.

Didnt we get into Europe because of "fair play" one season ?

Inter-Toto? Might have been the year we went out in the 'final' to Troyes on the away goals rule (although we were well beaten in fairness).

Aye i think you're right.............. there were three Fair paly places int eh first round of the ITT - started in April IIRC..................
