TOON TARGET TWO CUT-PRICE STARS

CHRIS HUGHTON has already identified two cut-price Premier League targets for Newcastle's return to the big time.

Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara could be up for grabs for as little as £3million.

And Arsenal centre-half Philippe Senderos, who is surplus to requirements at the Emirates, will be a free agent at the end of the season when his loan deal at Everton expires.

Boss Hughton will speak to Toon managing director Derek Llambias next week but he has already been warned that frivolous spending is over.

On top of that, Newcastle will no longer include bonus incentives in any future contract.

Newcastle were relegated with a wage bill of nearly £70m but were hit with a double blow when bonus payments forced owner Mike Ashley to dish out another £10m to his Championship-bound flops.

Even free transfers, who would normally benefit from bonus clauses, signing on fees and/or higher wages to make up for the lack of transfer fee, will not have any bonuses written into their deals at St James' Park.

There will also be more of an emphasis on developing youth who could be blooded in the first team or sold on at a profit.

Sportsdirect@SJP - not a more appropriate name for our stadium could those cunts find.

The 1980s here we come again. Forget anything better than mid-table obscurity and holding onto players like Enrique.

they will strengthen our squad though. I'm no advocate of cheap shitty signings, but ohara is a better player than what we have in the centre of the park. gives us an option down the left as well.

not so sure about senderos, his career has been in freefall since being loaned out to Milan.

I think you've missed the point though, just because he wants them is in no way a guarantee of getting them.

How can you ever expect to pull in a player on a free from the likes of Arsenal when you're going to pay out low wages and no bonuses, the whole plus point of leaving on a free for a player is to be able to get more out of it in wages/ bonuses and O'Hara will be on way more than he can expect here, even the likes of Hull/ Stoke would be offering better terms and prospects.

Guest Barrack Road

Senderos is total wank as far as I'm concerned. I'd like Jamie O'Hara here though, I know someone that knows him well, apparently he's a right sleeze, but on the pitch he's quality, genuine quality and he's at an age where he can improve. Never thought I'd admit this, but Spurs have an embarrassment of riches really.

Tell you what if we do sign O'Hara I'll be delighted, Senderos I'm not so sure about. However, This is ifs and buts, we've got no real reason to believe O'Hara won't want to go somewhere else and we've no guarantee that 'Arry will sell at this price, he may,, in fact, see that O'Hara is in demand and hike the price a bit.

I'll put the celebratory bottle of Sol no hold

Me too, be happy to sign O'Hara, not Senderos, assuming Ashley would provide anywhere near enough finance to get eitger of them that is!
