Matty 0
Your 36,000 against Reading are the true fans. I was there against Reading but not last night.... truer than true me.
MattM4 0
Re large flow of water Matt, do you know where this cuts off? Is it at the final whistle or are all the after match interviews on. The Second half part cuts off right after the final whistle, but the guy uploaded the whole post match stuff in that separate file.
Noelie 103
Me eye cleared up enough to watch the replay on espn360 today and to be truthful I was a bit disappointed with our overall performence. I suppose I was expecting us to put on a stellar performence for 90 minutes but the first 45 left a lot to be desired. We are promoted and that's fantastic for doing it at the first go, but there shouldn't be any doubt in anyone's mind that we do not have a Premier League team in house. Unless there is a splurge for quality players in the summer we'll be in for a hard time in staying up. I trust Ashley fully recognizes this and moves to protect his investment, speculate to accumulate. Nolan's goal was a cracker.
Deano 0
Ok...well...1st half we were shit. Maybe our concentration was knocked i dont know. I never thought that finding out we were promoted would of made us complacent but thats what we were in the 1st half. We got a lucky soft penalty...technically it was a correct decision but very rarely you see them given. Nice bit of luck and wel tucked away by Lovenkrands. 2nd half we actually looked like a team deserving to be top of the league...could of scored a few. Im pleased with the win, happy with our 2nd hald performance and delighted with promotion with 5 games to go but im gonna be critical of a few of the lads tonight. Harper...6 Should of done better with goal, Sheff utd played done a job on him but still could of done better. Enrique...7 Solid going forward and in defence but wasted a few good crossing chances...want to see him shoot more. Simspon...6 Starting to worry about him alot now...didnt do alot wrong just doesnt look very good. Coloccini...7 Solid and composed Williamson...8 Solid, read game well and made a few very important blocks at 1-0. Gutierrez...7 I like him but he was fuckin gash 1st half, only a slight improvement in the second, lost the ball far to much but his running at times was so important. Routledge...7 Frustrating...this lads got bags of talent but so inconsistent with the quality in his final ball...need to see more consistency...improve his shooting too. Guthrie...6.5 Used ball well at times but got aught in posession far too much...should of scored twice. Nolan...9 My man of match...Great goal, worked extremely hard for the team and passed ball well...well done Kevin. Carroll...6 Cut a frustrated figure tonight, didnt do it. Lovenkrands...7 Took penalty well, wanted ball alot but really should of scored again on two other occasions. Barton...6 Looked hungry and chased everything...actually looked quick at times! Raylor...Not enough time to do owt. Shola...6 Looked busy but didnt do alot...funny how he thought he had scored. All in all it was a good result saved by a goo 2nd half performance...total anticlimax though. We are up...we should be proud...another 3 points in the bag...Highest points total still on...all season unbeaten home record in over 100 years still on....lets go win this fuckin wank league and break some records too! Create a bit of history! He was fucking on the pitch 4 minutes or something? Now Geordie Lad I would normally enjoy reading these but this has just took the biscuit completely. And even branding Guthrie at 6.5 is a bit light, he did well. Shola aswell you can't rate him he didn't get a touch of the ball for fook sake. Buck up or buck off ! I agree completely on the Guthrie point, I thought he was a big participant in the middle and attacked very quickly, rather harsh on your rating there, suprised you rated Nolan tonight considering you're one of his biggest critics. Kevin, Fair enough Barton wasnt on long, maybe not long enough to rate....still looked hungry for the ball though. Acid, I stand by my rating of Guthrie, yes he did get forward and he did play a few nice balls but it was Nolan who was creating more...Guthrie lost the ball time and time again, stupid showboating late on gave them a chance too, plus he should of scored twice...i rate him just dont think he was very good last night. As for Nolan, i have criticised him alot, but also last few weeks you would of noticed iv praised him too. Playing with Guthrie we seem to get more from him than playing with Smith. Maybe this whole time it was Smith who was the shit one? Who knows. Either way Nolan or Smith arent good enough to start in PL...and Guthrie needs to be more consistent. Just suprised that you rated Routledge higher than Guthrie, didn't make sense to me. Routledge had two very significant chances to open the scoring, his shooting under pressure is appaulingly bad, whilst Guthrie tends to stay composed most of the time, still i think he deserved alot more praise than he received for last nights performance. Nolan has been one of our most important midfielders this season, this is proven through the crucial goals he's scored over the course of the season, he then for some time, was in genueily poor form all of a sudden, but based on recent performances he seems to have reignited the rich vain of form he started the season with. I also enjoyed watching Jonas last night, his attacking mentality nearly payed off for him last night, shame he hit the post.
Craig 6700
Why would the club deliberately under-report the attendance though (as .com seem to be implying)? exactly, nothing to be gained from that lie....... unless of course you were trousering the gate receipts from the 2k. Im not saying thats the case btw, as I said I could clearly see what would amount to hundreds of empty seats just within my eyeline. I'm presuming that's .COM's implication. A dangerous and possibly libelous one IYAM.
