Nolan nearly fuckin missed for our 1st goal!

Nice strike from Barton...pleased for him.

Shola back on the goal trail.

Roll on monday when we will confirm ourselves as a PL club once again! :D

To come from behind and win 3-2 against the bottom of the table club is not something that makes me jump for joy.

Hughtons decision to start with 5 changes to a winning team made me cringe, and I cringed even more when they went ahead, To rest key players prior to a Monday's game may sound a reasonable decision but it is also a gamble and from the sound of the radio commentary it seemed like it might just be a bad bet. That was until Nolan scored on half-time.

It should have been a convincing win but it wasn't .........still I'm more than happy with the 3 points.

:D You sure?

Of course I'm fucking sure Alex. :icon_lol:

First toon match in 4 years! Some impressions:

Crowd were great craic, Peterboro is a dump, their ground is pitiful, the view from the Moys terrace was surprisingly bad. In fact you could've used any part of it as a toilet. Simpson and Pancrate were gash together, we played poor first half, gifted them a goal but they didn't look likely otherwise. Our equaliser on the stroke of half time deflated them and when we bothered to play second half we easily dominated. Routledge sub on half time made a big difference. I thought Barton was very ordinary first half but got into the match after the break. Smith and Nolan were pretty pedestrian throughout.

When we went 3-1 up we stopped playing and let them back into it. Guti was terrible when he came on and gave them a couple of good attacking chances by giving the ball away. We couldn't defend the long throw. All in all a scrapping fighting victory, but not top of the table stuff; we did enough and no more. The Peterboro fans were friendly on the way to the ground and there was no bother that I saw. The support from the toon was quality, loved the Coloccini song, the Peterboro fans seemed resigned to losing and hardly sang throughout.

Defence was generally good, Simpson apart. Enrique had a good match, Williamson looked solid. Up front Shola was his usual frustrating self and Best was very very ordinary. Couldn't see the ball go in for Shola's goal but couldn't believe he'd scored and keeper seemed well positioned. Best had a couple of good chances but fluffed them. We clearly need more pace and power up front and disappointed not to see carroll play. Shame we weren't promoted, toon army was singing "If Bristol score, we're on the fucking pitch!" and a rumour went round at one point Bristol were 2-1 up.

Good to see the toon win, great day out, roll on Reading!
