Deano 0
I had a dream that this game was being shown taped in the States and me mam and I were going to watch it at her house in the afternoon. I'd been avoiding the phone/internet for hours so as not to have it spoiled when my brother called up and asked who had invented nitroglycerin. I knew the answer but I got on the computer to check, but my homepage is the BBC front page and I saw we'd won and the game was spoiled. My previous dream about beating Spurs 4-1 came true. Hopefully this one will be the same and we will beat them, but for my money it'll be a draw. In your dream what was the score or do you not want to disclose such information? luckyluke 2
Here's to tomorrow's match being along the lines of this. The waffle is something from a different age - not just the fact that we qualified for the Champions League - because we will do so again, eventually. But the spreading of the rumours and news from the other grounds from a handful of fans with radios -the world and his dog can get the internet on their phones now. OTF 7295
Honestly speaking this should be a routine win for us on our pitch. Nottingham Forest have greatly overachieved this season, but their run has come to an end, and they're probably realising now that the chances of them catching either us or West Bromwich Albion are limited. They'll have to push for a win in this match as a draw gets them nothing. With Jonas and Routledge down our wings we actually have some pace in our side, pace that could well take advantage of the space from them pushing for a victory. Lovenkrands could not have returned to the side at a better time, and if started he'll act as a perfect foil to the physicality of Carroll. In football there's no such thing as a routine win, so I hope that Chris has drilled into the players the importance of the match ensuring that they go out there 100% committed to winning the match. Being a TV game I'm a little afraid of this one suffering the curse of many of other televised matches and being a dull, messy game, but deep down I have a feeling that it's going to highly entertaining regardless of the result. I hope they really try to take the game to us in the early stages as it will be interesting to see the reactions of our players.
2bias 3
I think this would have been close to being a sell out if it had been a Saturday 3pm kick off I reckon it'll be close anyway 47354 and a 3-2 win for us! maggiespaws 0
Its a game I feel we can win, but I don't expect it to be easy. Forest are a decent side but they have struggled of late and their away form is poor. They were the better side when we played them earlier in the season and IIRC their wing play was much better than ours. We were struggling for a decent right winger and Guti was our only (misfiring) outlet down the left. Fast forward to today and I think it's the opposite. They have lost their balance and a combination of injuries and Jan sales has upset the side. We have two wingers who are capable of getting forward and defenders who overlap. We're more organised in midfield since we moved Guthrie into the middle. On paper we are much the better side, but this being NUFC means that we'll no doubt make life more difficult for ourselves. David Kelly 1245
I honestly think we are different class to every other team in this division when we are at home and have pretty much a full team, and Forest are going through a very indiferent spell now that they lost their unbeaten away record. With the solid back four that we amazingly have this season, two of the best wingers in the league and a front two on fire, I think we will have far too much for them and I expect us to win reasonably well. Not that I'm knocking Forest as I think when they are on form they play some of the best football in the division but I just expect us to be bang up for this and be too strong for them. ujpest doza 0
Has anyone got the latest edition of True Faith? There's a picture in there of about 400 toon fans on the pitch at Forest away, in what looks like the mid 80's. Does anyone know why this happened? Last game of the season 1987. We lost 2-1 and Gazza scored the consolation for us in the 2nd half. Pre match about 150 Newcastle (Gremlins who were back then the young uns) had got in the main stand seats and were escorted out and around the pitch by the police who tried to put them on the terracing behind the fences but the first 70 or 80 legged it into the seats in the new (at the time) stand which was also allocated to Newcastle and just squashed in. At full time the Newcastle in the seats invaded the pitch (being the last game of the season and that) and Nottingham Forest fans did the same from the other side and from the Trent end but were chased off by sheer weight of numbers before regrouping and having a little bit of toing and froing on the pitch with the Newcastle lads who also tried to break the cross bar. Andrew 4748
Win for us for the simple fact a draw isn't good enough for forest. Sit back let them push forward and then catch them out 2-0 for us at home I'd rather we didn't, we can dominate anyone in this league at SJP and I'd prefer to see us go out and take the game to them

I'd rather we didn't sit back either, but forcing them to come forward and go for it lets Jonas routledge and lovenkrands catch them out on the break with ease. NF have lost 6 away games on the bounce now, they are no where near the side they are at home considering how we are at home I'd expect us to thump them to be honest if CH goes all conservative I'll be disappointed
Ayatollah Hermione 13869
I think an early goal will knacker them so we need to be lashing them from the start. We should be anyway since we're at home but if we start strong, we'll do them. Let them into the game though and they could trouble us a bit. Noelie 103
........................ we can dominate anyone in this league at SJP ............................ Perhaps the use of the word 'dominate' is a little bit strong Andrew when you consider that we have drawn 3 at SJP, 2-2, 1-1, & 0-0. and 3 of our wins have been by a one goal margin, 1-0, 1-0, & 2-1. Hardly what you would call domination against 6 teams in this league.

So with that in mind and with the sheer importance of tonights game, tonigh is going to be a fair reflection on just how good we really are. Im confident like.
