January was about securing promotion.

 

putting players on 3.5 year contracts, suggests a longer term view than that.

 

Shame they weren't of the calibre of Rob Lee, Andy Cole, Scott Sellars, Barry Venison and John Beresford, especially given our willingness to compete in the wages department and the ambition pouring out of the club.

what are you expecting? 20k is your absolute star player for most CCC teams and is certainly decent for bottom half PL teams

Have said it before elsewhere, but has anyone at the club actually said we definitely will not pay more than x and not sign anyone under y

 

if so can they linky

 

Personally I dont think that will be a hard and fast rule and if the right player is available outside of those barriers then they will be considered.

 

What seems pretty certain is that we are not going to spend silly amounts for the journeymen.
