Amazing away , so emotional and exciting. - up there with Grimsby promotion and Inter Champs Lg. Out genial hosts had put up fences especially for us too. At full time ouu could hear all the coins tonking the roof. Spent most of it stood on our seatsdodging the coin showers too. We were central but the seats going both ways at the boundary fence was mad. Was it Kelly who actually had t jump into our end at one point . On way back to our bus passed minibus and Stevie Charlton was on it smiling like it hurt at the window. Me immediate reaction when saw him was a clenched fist 'geediin' up to window to him. Grinning even wider he returned a thumbs up.

Seeeing some of the kids clambering back on the bus was class. A couple had half seats as souvenirs. Think coupl Leicester lost eyes with some of the carry on actually. Stunk the bus out on way back with some torrid resin .

Aye, as an ex-Leicester player all their fans wanted to chin the fuck out of him. Amazing really that no action was taken against them for it.

Not bad mate. Top row question mark is actually Alan Davies (RIP) and the coach was Colin Suggett. The rest are all correct <_<

Is the coach on the left Colin Suggett? I think he was caretaker when McFaul got sacked.

Been a while since an update but I come across these two the other day. Seems weird with buildings on what is now the Metro station / car park.

is "Wrightson" that lad who died......what was his name, Alan Davies ?

You might be right Craig, but that may be Davies, that was my first thought looking at it.

It is Alan Davies - I confirmed that one too :icon_lol:

Think you'll find I'm not 'McFaul' <_<

I only saw this thread because it was bumped to the front again

Managed to get hold of a copy of the programme from my first ever match after wor lass chucked the original out by accident. I should try and get it scanned and put some of the pages in this thread. Some of the adverts are hilarious.

I sold all mine about 6 years ago to the back page for pennies, had every game from 86-92. I love this thread brings back so many memories. The big EVENING CHRONICLE sign across the East Stand, and "MINORIES" adverts everywhere. Makes me wonder why the Gallowgate never sold beer in them days they would've made a fortune.

Craig I'll be honest I'd never heard of Alan Davies.

Anth Lormor (not Howey) and Darren Jackson on the right.

No...both wrong and to be fair I don't think either played for the first team...

Alan Davies was a bloke we bought from Man Utd around '85. Winger IIRC and fairly shit. Moved on to Swansea after a couple of years and tragically committed suicide a couple of years after that.

One next to McCreery has been confirmed by the bloke himself as Kevin Caizley. The one next to Mirandinha has been confirmed by Caizley as Paul Watson.

Can't say I remember either tbh.

Don't you owe me money for this, Stevie? I'm sure you bet me it was Steve Howey. I'll let you off like, even after yesterday's tips <_<

Think that was Sima wasn't it?

Paul Watson rings a bell think he came on as sub against someone circa 89 and everyone going who the fucks he. I bet we had 120 different players play for us between 88 and 92.

It was me, if you mean the bet. I know what you mean like, it was like a conveyer belt of players, most of whom probably struggled to get a game for Northern League teams after us.
