Tottenham's preparations for their Premier League clash against Everton have been disrupted by a virus.

First-team stars Wilson Palacios and Vedran Corluka have been hit by the sickness and diarrhoea bug.

They are among 18 players and staff at the Spurs training ground in Chigwell, Essex, to be affected.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp stated: "We've closed the training ground. It's off limits. We're just going to train there and that's it."

Redknapp said he hoped midfielder Palacios and defender Corluka will be fit and available for selection against Everton on Sunday.

The Spurs boss held his pre-match news conference at White Hart Lane on Friday instead of the usual venue at the training ground

Look the toilet belongs to someone else. I would never dream of using a toilet that did even if it’s a very nice toilet and one would be most pleased to perch their cheeks upon its seat.

So they go to train and if a player needs a shit halfway through they have to go home for the dump? :)

Aye and it meant that Arsenal qualified for the Champions League and not them (it was against West Ham wasn't it)

Wonder if they'll blame the Gooners this time?

Who did they play against when most of their squad had food poisoning? Must be something in the water down there...

Dodgy Lasagne before the last game of the season a couple of years back wasn't it?

I think that was suspected but wasn't it put down to a viral gastroenteritis after they examined the food from the Hotel they stayed in and found nothing, didn't they?

I recall the joke "The lab report from the hotel restaurant is back. They found sour grapes, hard cheese and tough shit".
