Steve 0
To be fair I think he's done the right thing because I wouldn't want to play for the Poms either.
Gemmill 44888
30 years from now when his grandkids are asking him if he ever played in the world cup he's gonna feel a complete tit going "No, I could have done but someone nobbed my ex lass so I retired from international football just before the tournament." Completely idiotic decision imo.
Barney 0
If Ashley Cole is fit though, Bridge won't get a look-in, will he?
ewerk 30616
If Ashley Cole is fit though, Bridge won't get a look-in, will he? Given that he's out for a few months with a chance of suffering a setback or picking up a further injury as part of his comeback then England's deputy LB has suddenly become much more important. But aye, chances are that Bridge wouldn't have kicked a ball in the WC.
Happy Face 29
I still sit next to a lad at the match who got well into my ex. Can't imagine a ho coming between the lads and the football. But then I didn't have any bairns by her and have it splashed over every front page for a month.

But then I didn't have any bairns by her and have it splashed over every front page for a month. that makes a big difference, I would say. Not totally sure though, what I would do. It must be difficult. I wonder if any of the media will now go down the line of saying "Bridge has put England first and so should Terry"........ He'll probably tell them he's been to two world cups and then he retired from International duty due to Scandal
The Fish 10857
Love that quote from Bellamy. Say what you like about the professionalism of it, but his brutal honesty is a breath of fresh air.

Sonatine 11387
"You guys make a lot more of it. I know what JT is like and nothing surprises me about him. Everyone knows what he's like. But that's off the pitch. On it he's an outstanding player and a great captain." Good to see Bellamy putting his gob to good use for a change Edited February 27, 2010 by Sonatine
