Go to beta.swype.com and get the swype keyboard. Within two days you'll wonder how you ever put up with the old keyboard. It's amazing.

Cheers for that, the default one is a bit shit really, can see the improvements already. Any other good apps? I've got a one that tells you what's going on in your area,, got the stuff like the Barcode Scanners and Evernote, just wondering if there's owt that isn't as widely known that's good to have.

I use dolphin hd for my browser, and twidroid pro for twitter. Oh yeah, handcent pissed all over the standard messaging app. And it's free, so that's an insta-download. Winamp seems to be a good music player - only been using it a week or so but it seems good.

If you listen to podcasts, doggcatcher or Beyondpod are very good. Both paid apps though, although I think they both have trial periods.

For an app aimed at improving the shit keyboard they dont have take the piss with the amount of info you have to input on said shit keyboard to get it installed!

It'll be worth it. Have you got it up and running yet?

Got a Desire Z last month - happy with it though the only downer is it's a bit bulky - might get something smaller like an Xperia X10 mini for the summer when I'm not wearing a coat.

Trying to decide between these 2 when I renew in a month

HTC Sensation

Samsung Galaxy S2

The Samsung seems to be a slightly better phone and is nearer to release but Samsung have an horrific record for rolling out software updates

I'm due an upgrade now.

I'm thinking of saying goodbye to my iPhone (which has served me well), and going for a Samsung Galaxy SII.

The only thing I'm concerned about is most of the packages only come with 500mb worth of data. Which I doubt would be enough for me.

Anyone with an HTC tried the HTC sense feature?

I left my phone at the office yesterday when I went for a few pints after work but thought at one point I'd lost it. I logged on to the site which is suppoed to be able to remotely track/disable your phone only to be told I hadn't enabled the feature on the device.

On getting to work I've checked the phone and it is enabled.

I've emailed them to query it but wondered if anyone here had tried it.

Get android lost instead. Free app. Go to androidlost.com for details of features.

Looks good - cheers - can't connect to the google server from work but will try tonight.
