Bensmit 0
ITV Productions have just begun work on a new documentary being made for ITV1 to mark the 20th anniversary of the England v West Germany Semi-Final of Italia 90. “Football: Reborn On The 4th Of July” (working title) will tell the story of how one football match captivated the nation and reinvigorated the beautiful game. This programme will be broadcast on 4th July 2010 and will be one of the highlights of ITV1’s coverage of World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The documentary promises to tell the definitive story of one of the most dramatic games of football ever seen. As well as interviewing the key players about their memories of the game, we are looking for fans who have their own stories to tell about that night in Turin – whether you were there in the stadium or watching at home. Do you have any home movies or photos of the night? Do you have a memorable story you could share with us? Did the watch the game in an unusual place? If so we’d really like to hear from you. I can be contacted at the following email address – ben.smith@itv.com or by telephone at 01132 228826
Dr Gloom 22150
I was in a youth hostel in Middleton I think. Must have been about 13 or 14. About 30 of us on a schooltrip watched it after a hard day rock climbing. I remember it vividly because there was an areshole in the year below that almost got lynched for supporting the krauts. English kid too

Sonatine 11542
Think i was at a rock night at some dump of a nightclub in Stanley, although that could have been the night the Cameroon match was on Edited February 12, 2010 by Sonatine
Happy Face 29
I distinctly remember my mam sent me to do the dishes while it was on. Shite little portable in the corner with a coat-hanger for an aeriel and so much snow I could hardly see the green of the pitch. I spent more time trying to get a better reception on that bastard than doing dishes. I could have been in and out in 5 minutes but ended up watching most of the game (or what I could make out) in there.
snakehips 0
Now then. Italia '90. I remember watching that game, but can't recall exactly where I was. I distinctly remember watching the Belgium game on a security guard's portable in Chile. The guy thought we were all nuts when we went ballistic after Platt scored from Gazza's free kick late in the game. And I remember watching the Argentina/Brazil QF (?) in a whore's room in some dive in S.America It was a Sunday morning and I had a raging hard on, but the football was on. I remember thinking "Chick, football? Chick, football?" Brazil/Argentina doesn't happen every day so I let her sleep. As to the England/W.Germany game?? Fucked if I can remember where I watched it
