Sima 0
Anyone else noticed a shift in the last few years with how this is sung in the "We love you Newcastle we do" chant? Before, it was more like Newcuh-sul. Now it's always Newcah-sul. More Southerners in our support?

luckyluke 2
There was some brilliant graffiti in the toilets of the University of Leeds Medical School's library a few years ago. My favourite was the editing to a limerick that had been written previously. Someone had written "There once was man from Newcastle Who recieved a large wrapped up parcel In it was a shit And on it was writ A present from somebody's arsehole" Someone else had underlined the last word of each of the first two lines and pointed out to the creator that "These words don't rhyme you southern cottaging fairy"
