Kitman 2207
well we potentially have a game or two before that happens since I'm expecting him to go on the last day of the window he should play against CP and then maybe leicester unless hes had to go somewhere to agree terms I'm probably being unduly cynical. Just goes to show how suspicious I am of these feckers now.
Nyff 0
Surely it would be stupid to sell Colo now? Especially if they aren't sure how long Taylor will be out for. The Williamson deal may now be going through because we've been willing to stump up a bit more cash after the Taylor incident... Of course I know this is Newcastle United though, and it probably wouldn't be out of the question for any one of our players to be sold when we need them most... Kitman 2207
Surely it would be stupid to sell Colo now? Of course it would. That's why I'm expecting it to happen. Sod the team, take the money as usual.

donaldstott 0
.com quite astutely have picked up that there is no mention if it is a permenant deal. No contract length mentioned, could be a loan. Not arsed if it is, but if it is then NUFC are doing their best to hide the fact.

Barney 0
I think loan deals are the way to go this season. Commit to nothing.
Andrew 4857
I agree to an extent but I don't like the idea of half our team just leaving at the end of the season whether we're up or not
Barney 0
I know what you mean. Clearly don't want to get stuck with crap though. I was thinking that the fact Simpson wasn't wanted by Fergie, despite all their injuries, speaks volumes.
Toonpack 9945
If it is a loan, it could be to do with the financial gymnastics at pompey. If we'd paid 1 mill for him didn't Pompey have a "pay Watford 1.2 mill" clause, he wasn't playing for them (alledgedly)because of a performance/add-on clause so maybe it was when he plays x games you pay us (Watford) x£ in add-ons and if he doesn't play that number of games but you sell him within x amount of time you owe us ££££££ Could therefore be a loan with a view to a permanent deal which is timed to end after the date the Watford clauses have expired. Total supposition, but plausible
