Hi babes.

 

Just passed the half-way point in the league this season.

 

What are your opinions on the season to date?

 

Here are a few topics, feel free to add more :

 

 

Players of the Season :

 

League Position :

Performance/Result of the season :

Dissapointments :

 

 

Players of the Season : Enrique, Collo, Nolan

 

League Position : Delighted. At seasons start everything was so unstable, I figured we had a chance of midtable or worse.

 

Cup progress : No problem with Carling Cup as, at the time, I thought the squad couldn't cope. Bit early for the FA Cup.

 

Performance/Result of the season : Cardiff(a) was a very good 3points. Ipswich(a) too.

 

Goal : Jonas-v-Peterborough(h), then Pancrate-v-Watford(h).

 

Pleasant surprises : Nolan's goals. Defence/Clean sheets.

 

Dissapointments : Strikers not scoring regularly, some poor results, especially at the start of the season.

Players of the Season : Jose Enrique, looked a class above most of the time

 

League Position : can't complain about first

 

Cup progress : well we're still in, shuld be beating plymouth first time out though, needless extra fixtures though IMO

 

Performance/Result of the season : reading, was a long time ago now but of the matches Ive seen that is the one

 

Goal : Pancrate v watford, Carroll v ...someone (the volley)

 

Pleasant surprises : our defence in general

 

Dissapointments : we're still owned by that twat, Jonas still not producing enough in the final third despite getting opportunity after opportunity

Players of the Season : Jose/Nolan/Smith

 

League Position : I did not expect us to be top at anypoint, now can't help but feel dissapointed we don't have a bigger lead.

 

Cup progress : Don't like to lose or get knocked out. However Newcastle have other things on their mind.

 

Performance/Result of the season : Shola's hatrick/3-0 Reading.

 

Goals : Shola's hatrick.

 

Pleasant surprises : Smith. Really miss him when he is out of the team.

 

Dissapointments : Mike is still in charge and Houghton is not getting a fair crack at being a manager with regards to transfers.

Players of the Season : Jose Enrique, looked a class above most of the time

 

League Position : Very Happy, lets hope it continues

 

Cup progress : Nice to see us still in the FA Cup, but sad to say, its not important this season

 

Performance/Result of the season : Reading

 

Goal : Pancrate v watford

 

Pleasant surprises : How shit the league is. Thought it was going to be a lot tought. Also keeping onto a few players that have elevated us slightly

 

Dissapointments : Ashley, Hughton and his odd decisions and the strikers not bagging enough. Oh and us being linked to Beckford! Is that how far weve dropped

Players of the Season : Jose Enrique, best player in this league as far as I'm concerned.

 

League Position : Feared with all the troubles we'd be down the bottom so I can only be delighted with first.

 

Cup progress : Don't really care, we can't win either of them with this squad.

 

Performance/Result of the season : Ipswich away or the first half against Swansea. Don't think we've really been on fire in any game though.

 

Goal : Jonas for the run and the fact that he at last scored.

 

Pleasant surprises : Colo. I thought he'd never recover his confidence here but he has and he's a class above this league.

 

Dissapointments : Ashley still being here and facing another shite transfer window.

Players of the Season : Enrique without doubt, mention to Nolan for his vital goals, but allround performances not close to Enrique

 

League Position : Delighted. Before season started i had no expectations of being first, so delighted

 

Cup progress : Agreed completely with Hughton resting everyone for Legaue cup and if he does the same in FA cup its fine by me, obviously if we somehow found ourselves in the quarter finals i'd want the first team out there!

 

Performance/Result of the season : Not sure really, but Cardiff away when they wre on form, scoring for fun and at home, i was impressed we ground out a 1-0, also as people have said Reading with a Shola Hattrick, who saw that coming!

 

Goal : Pancrate, though its looking worryingly like he isn't very good sadly

 

Pleasant surprises : Smith as a defensive midfielder at this level, Nolan's goal scoring form, our defensive record and Shola

 

Dissapointments : Ashley still being here
