wykikitoon 21511
A lad here who is a season ticket holder said it was reported Clark was in Burnley the other day. Now I know its not a massive story as its only down the road, however his odds have dropped from 50/1 down to 3/1. I personally would like to see him stay at Huddersfield and continue what a good job hes done there.

It would be more apt if Coyle had stayed loyal and made the most of the opportunity Burnley gave him. You are right though, Clarkie should sit tight and actually do something where he is now. Andrew 4969
last I saw he'd dropped off the favourite spot replaced by brian laws
blackandwhiteboy 0
There have been various names banded around to replace Coyle at Burnley. The current two names leading to take over seem to be Brian Laws and current Doncaster boss Sean O'Driscoll. The fact that Burnley are rooting around for Championship-grade managers suggests that is the level they see themselves at, if not at the moment then next season. Can't believe they're seriously considering Brian Laws, surely at least one of the likes of Curbishley, Coppel etc would be interested? If hiring Laws or O'Driscoll exemplifies the ambition the Burnley board I'm not surprised Coyle left.
Guest alex
If it was us they'd be ripping the piss for considering someone like Laws just because he's an ex-player.
Barney 0
Looks like O'Driscoll has it.

acrossthepond 900
Brian Laws confirmed today. Pretty terrible appointment I'd say...going from the bottom of the Championship to the Premier League is always likely to be a recipe for disaster. I think Burnley fans will rue the day Coyle left for a long time.
Andrew 4969
the thing is, burnley were expected to drop before the season started, even the fans thought so but coyle signed some good, young players who wanted the chance to prove themselves but who will probably stay if they go back to the CCC I reckon if they go down and dont lose too many players (I can see eagles leaving) they will have a proper chance of going back up again

He tried to get Weds playing decent football and did but also dfidnt have the financial backing from Weds board. VERY VERY limited wage budget to work with. IMO I would of gone with O'Driscoll. Did a good job at Donny & at Bournmouth IIRC?
