tooner 243
currently sitting in Vancouver airport, connecting flight has been delayed due to general back log in North American airspace. spent the 4 hour flight from Toronto trying to figure out why the entertainment system had been blanked out, according to our pilot because the US has banned in flight entertainment if your plane goes through US airspace. Anyone got any thoughts on why? only thing I could think of was they wanted us keeping an eye on each other, not zoning out to a movie or t.v. show

Guest alex
That 'no fly list' the USA has doesn't seem too clever once you realise there's over half a million names on it.

Next on board announcements will include a history of terrorist attacks. Close Guantanamo and let journalists who've been imprisoned for 7 years without charge go free? What a crazy notion when dangerous minds like this are on the loose.

Cid_MCDP 0
I'd just like to take this chance to remind everyone that despite all the wars and changes to foreign policy and me having to take my shoes off in the airport and all, that 9/11 could have been prevented with a lock on the cockpit door. Thanks.

There WAS a lock on the door - what happened was that the hijackers threatened to slice up an air hostess unless they opened up - which they did thinking the worst that would happen would be an extended tour to Cuba etc etc
