The cameraman is fucking lucky not to have been killed - prototype testing should not be restricted to GP weekends which it effectively definitely is! Craig 6700
Thank goodness he's alright, those things weigh a bloody ton. Indeed they do and don't forget he was moving at around 200mph when they detatched. The force would have been massive. Puts it into perspective when you consider the accident that killed Henry Surtess last year when a F2 tyre (considerably smaller than a F1 tyre) tamely bounced across the track and onto his helmet. Or the mess that was made of Massa's helmet when a suspension spring struck it at around 140mph in Hungary. None of the TV crew around the track wear head protection. The cameraman is fucking lucky not to have been killed - prototype testing should not be restricted to GP weekends which it effectively definitely is! An investigation by the team has concluded that the incident was caused by a front right upright failure - which was a new design introduced for this weekend's race. Exactly what went wrong to cause the malfunction has not yet been established, however. Once the right upright failed, the load on the left side component was too great for it to handle which is why that failed simultaneously. The team also concluded that the wheel tethers did not work, with the tyres being pitched over the spectator fences. The tethers were attached to the part of the uprights that broke off. Toro Rosso will fit uprights from a previously used proven design to both its car from second practice in Shanghai.

Craig 6700
Indeed Don't forget Button's shite, only succeeding in winning the title because his car was soooo much better than the rest. What's more he's an absolute mug for teaming up with Lewis Hamilton as he'll get his arse wiped every race... Well done Jenson - letting your driving do the talking

It's yet another ambiguous rule by the FIA that could be taken either way - however I thought all along that Merc did get it wrong. What was this reaction then Dr Ken? Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
What was this reaction then Dr Ken? I've no idea. I was just imagining Schumacher's face when he heard a stewards panel including Damon Hill had demoted him out of the points.
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
I suppose it could be said it's karma for Schumacher avoiding that stop-go penalty on the last lap at Silverstone by crossing the line to win in the pit-lane.

I was just imagining Schumacher's face when he heard a stewards panel including Damon Hill had demoted him out of the points. He was quizzed about it (Damon being a steward) before the penalty was announced. Michael's response? "He's (Damon) a good guy... I don't expect a penalty." We just need JFV to be steward at Canada now...
