Billy Castell 0
Alonso constantly throws his toys out his pram. Every little thing makes him whine like a stuffed pig. If he just shut his fucking pie hole and tried to drive a car, he'd be in contention for the championship.

Craig 6700
BTW, the 5 second time penalty that Button (and the other 8 drivers) were handed isn't recognised as a viable penalty in the FIA's sporting regulations. The only options available to the stewards is a 20 second penalty, a 30 second penalty or a grid-drop at the next race. Â They're were relaxed on the ruling in this case though because of the time when the safety car was deployed. Kubica was at 170mph and entering the pitlane with the other cars right behind him when the delta time appeared on his dash-board. To have remained within the delta time they reckon he'd have had to slam on and stop dead, almost certainly causing another crash. Â This fucking sport and their daft regulations... Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Can you imagine the outcry in the papers (and from RobW) if the boot was on the other foot, and the FIA showed their 'bias' by letting a Ferrari driver go effectively unpunished, whilst a brave, British McLaren laboured obediently behind the safety car. Craig 6700
FWIW Dr Ken, I think Ferrari are being incredibly stubborn and petulent on this one. They lost out on it, fair enough and they still finished second despite a penalty. Â No-one complained much in Germany last year when Mark Webber still won the race despite getting a drive through for his first corner shenanigans. Â Hate to say it but Alonso is rattled because it's Hamilton. Also I had a modicum of sympathy until I saw the on board footage from his car - he was absolutely tanking it to try and get in front on the safety car too. He lost this one and he needed to have got over it immediately. The team should be pointing that out to him.

He lost this one and he needed to have got over it immediately. The team should be pointing that out to him. I agree. Alonso hasn't been the same since he let Hamilton get inside his head in 2007. Â Alonso and Ferrari have disappointed me since the second race, making too many unforced errors. He has started from the back or near the back at: Australia (spinning at first corner after hitting Button due to a slow get-away), Malaysia (getting caught out by the weather in qualifying), China (jumping the start and serving a drive-through), Monaco (wrecking the car just before qualifying) Â He also seemed to have a sulk on at the Turkish GP earlier this month, and spent 40 laps whinging about something neither him nor his team had any control of on Sunday. Â Some of it could be put down to bad luck, but you make your own luck and things like this level out over time. Â Alonso needs to get his head back on right, and concentrate on his own performances, not what Hamilton or McLaren are doing. And Ferrari need to get themselves organised to give him a stable platform to work from instead of fanning the flames between him and Hamilton. Billy Castell 0
Alonso has mentally gone off the rails. Ferrari should never have signed him as Hamilton has turned him into an F1 equivilent of Anelka. He's psychologically shot, and he spends too much time sulking and complaining. Meenzer 15737
It's doubly odd since McLaren have a genuine fight for the top spot whereas Alonso is clearly top dog at Ferrari. It's like he's creating distractions where there really don't need to be any.

It's like he's creating distractions where there really don't need to be any.  Some would suggest that he has a massive chip on his shoulder where Hamilton is concerned  Apparently both were asked seperately in interview before the Valencia race whether they'd accept the other as a team-mate again in the future. Hamilton gave out a long-winded, bit woolley response along the lines of "you never know what'll happen in the future, that was 3 years ago, i'm sure we'd be professional if need be, etc..... Alonso gave a one-word response....... "no".   Still rattled evidently.
Meenzer 15737
Of course you know fine well the answer is a flat "no" on Hamilton's part too, he's just a better PR man. And, as you say, less rattled.

And, as you say, less rattled. Â I don't think it would be a "no" on Hamilton's part - I think he's genuinely not arsed about Alonso and treats him no differently to any other driver whereas the feeling is obviously not reciprocated. Meenzer 15737
I'm not so sure. We see enough semi-regular outbursts from Hamilton's inner petulant teenager to suggest that trouble would brew if they ever raced for the same team again. Which, of course, is as good a reason as any to encourage it.
Craig 6700
Hamilton, Button and Senna…  McLaren has just revealed a new viral video, featuring Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button visiting a warehouse full of old McLaren F1 cars. I was told about this in Valencia. Apparently it was completely unscripted and while there were a lot of cameras in the building they were hidden away so that the drivers were able to forget they were there. This is fairly clear as at one point Lewis starts making engine noises while sitting at the wheel of Senna’s car. You couldn’t script that! Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Alonso undoubtedly has a chip on his shoulder. He thinks that if it wasn't for Hamilton he'd still be at McLaren, a four-time World Champion, looking for a fifth. Â Meenzer is right, the team radio broadcasts have clearly shown Hamilton isn't above snapping his crayons now and again.

Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
This buddy-buddy act isn't working for me. I bet Hamilton won't be as matey if he gets a couple of DNF's while Button gets some good finishes.

Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Yamamoto to replace Senna in Britain The Hispania team has dropped Bruno Senna for the British Grand Prix weekend, in a surprise move on the eve of the event.  Test driver Sakon Yamamoto will race alongside Karun Chandhok instead.  HRT boss Colin Kolles confirmed to the BBC that the change would take place, but further details of the driver switch will not be released until Friday morning.  Kolles added that Yamamoto only had the drive for Silverstone at present.  "A decision as to who will drive for Hispania for the rest of the season will be taken over the weekend," he said.  Yamamoto's racing debut for Hispania will mark his first Formula 1 start since his stint with Spyker in the second half of 2007. Meenzer 15737
The spirit of Super Aguri lives!
