Nyff 0
Just learned something rather interesting! Did you know that if a Nightclub is letting women in for free then they, by law, have to let in men free as well under this very act? So lets say I brought this up next time I'm out on a 'ladies night' at a club. If they don't allow me in for free, do I technically have the right to sue? Also, why doesn't this act influence car insurance at all?
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Because an insurance quote is based on factors of risk, not sex. The facts show that women have more crashes than men but they're usually little bumps, whereas men crash less often, but when they do it tends to be a spectacular (and expensive) blaze of glory. If they don't smash your face in and/or throw you out onto the pavement, I expect the cost of your solicitor writing a letter would outweigh any refund you could get. I'm not sure a court would hear a case where there's a small amount of money at stake, unless you could claim damages. I was always under the impression that the SDA was there to benefit women rather than men, but maybe that's wide of the mark.

luckyluke 2
over ridden by the "establishment reserves the right to refuse entry to any body" get out clause, Shirley I don't think that's a carte blanche, it wouldn't really stand up if a club refused entry to black people for example. Happy Face 29
While you're at it you could sue the wacky warehouse for age discrimination.

wykikitoon 21503
The Original Oak in Headingley is run by two Hull RL fans. When Hull come to play the Rhinos they let the Hull fans have cheaper beer. Now this is the same, but everytime you complain they dont care

Nyff 0
Was only one day a week they were let in free anyway, so I doubt it will make too much of a difference.
