Channel 4 are showing a bunch of 3D programs tonight.

Starting with the Queen in 3D for some reason and then some headfucks with Derren Brown and a bunch of illusionists.

Break out the savlia and a pair of 3D gogs ;)

The advantage of 3D TVs is simply that the price of standard HD TVs are set to plummet. One of my mates works for Sony and when I told him I was thinking of getting a new telly in the January sales he told me not to bother - told to leave it until March/April when Sony release their 3D range.

He was reckoning decent 40" LCDs will be around the £300 mark ;)

prices are good now - my full hd 50" plasma was £540.

I'm guessing you shopped around for that one though Laz? He was on about mainstream highstreet prices (i.e. silly money).

Aye but 3D porn where the lass reaches out the screen and gives you a hand job would do a roaring trade.

I downloaded some 3d lesbian stuff a couple of months ago and then got some glasses of e-bay for a quid - I have to say I was impressed and can see some appeal for "proper" films.

Aside from porn (first person bukake anyone ;)) what's the point?

What really pisses me off with 3D is the way directors change the viewing angles to get the maximum 3D effect. Ruins the film; having said that all 3D films are shite anyway.

Not sure if it's just the financial climate but people seem to be getting wise to the fact that you don't need to upgrade your technology every couple of months. Unless you're into Apple stuff, obviously.

You haven't seen Up I take it?

It's a great film without the 3D, but the 3D didn't make it much worse.

I almost saw it this weekend as it happens. But I declined when I realised it was a yet another excuse for the cinema to up the admission price and rip me off. It's £10 for an adult ffs. So if I took my wife and nephews it's going to cost me £40 by the time sweets etc are bought. What a rip off.
