Christmas Tree 4877
Trying to find somewhere that does a cracking xmas party which would ideally include a 3 course scran, comedia, cabaret and disco in south Tyneside, Gateshead or Newcastle. (not Chester le street or St. James) upto about £30 a head. Anyone any reccomendations?

The Fish 10991
I recommend you don't go and see comedy Totally pointless for an office night out. The whole idea is to get pissed up and blow off steam with people you work with, not focus attention on one person you don't know for over an hour. Comedians hate stag, hen, office parties. They ruin the night for the rest of tghe audience, because all they want to do is get hammered and while that's fine and dandy, you wouldn't get pissed up at a play, a film or the like would you? snakehips 0
South of the river? Urgh, I shudder at the mere suggestion. What I would 'reccomend', is spelling the invitations correctly *goes to scrub down, now that he's feeling dirty after the thought of setting foot in S.Tyneside*

More couples than stags tbh, think Bobby pattison, followed by a singer, followed by a bit boogie, slow smooch and jobs a good'un. Someone else has reccomended the elephant on the tyne as having a good xmas night. Someone called Sue Sweeney is the comedian???? http://www.elephantonthetyne.co.uk/forthev...o%20Web2009.pdf Edited November 15, 2009 by Christmas Tree

Aint you from Shitley Bay, the ugly sister to Tynemouths Cinderella. The home of the cess pit ice rink! So once you had spanish city! Those days are gone, your now a nothingness. South Tyneside is an oasis to the desert of whitley bay.

The Fish 10991
Sue Sweeny is a radio... "personality"? I'm sure she's done kids tv too. I wouldn't base my night round her if I were you mate. If you've got eyes on comedy go to the Hyena, they cater for large groups and there you'll at least get a proper comedian. It's known on the circuit for being a bear pit anyway so the acts will not be expecting enraptured attention. Still think you'd have a better night out if you just went for food then more drinks then a dance.

The Fish 10991
Ok the video now works, it's just that her jokes don't. But that's the Sue Sweeny I was thinking about. Sounds awful but there are very few good female comedians around that I'd be put off a night if a woman was the only act (unless I knew she was good) whereas I'd be happy to give an unknown bloke a shot.
