Crocodile.

 

Sleek and rusty green

And dark muddy water since

The last rain

Mostly hidden inside

…on my belly spleen..

..you saw me too late.

 

Tell the truth

We all say we could

The peripheral language

Rusty and gone

Half hidden from these

Strange falling pronouncements…

 

Those big bulging eyes

Falling away…

Tracing wires of thought,

To regain….

The bank that feels my weight

The mire, the clotted tenderness….

No, that's him. He wrote Jerusalem. Tyger, Tyger's my favourite like. It's even better than the one in The Gate.

The bloke in my av does good readings of his....Original recordings are hard to find now I guess...
