Fucking cowards way out when you have a wife and young child who rely on you. Depression or not.

That's a view I can't find myself to agree with regards to suicide. I couldn't possibly relate to his frame of mind at the time, you have to be ridiculously desperate to do such a thing. Cowardice doesn't come into it for me. Especially as Partridge said if you are "clinically fed up".

Exactly. It's really retarded to see it as an "easy" option when in fact it's the last resort to people who are obviously really suffering and ill.

R.I.P. You have to wonder if he might've considered retiring from the game for some relief before this - surely this wasn't an impulse decision and he must've been feeling the pressure and the misery for some time. I feel bad for the wife and child but in the end we'll never understand what drove him to it.

ITT: sniffer acts the cock again.

Anyone that offs themselves are in a very very dark place and feel its the only way to get out, calling them a fucking coward is a bit off really

Anyone remember that story last year about the couple whos 5 yr old child died from meningitis? he was left quadriplegic the year before after a car crash? anyway he died in hospital and his parents collected his body from the hospital, went home, got 2 rucksacks, put his toys in one, which is mother wore, put his body in the other rucksack, which is father put on, then the pair of them stepped off beach head..... ;)

Once saw a woman jump off the platform at Hemel Hempstead station into the path of the Birmingham to Euston express which was doing about 100mph. She literally burst apart and all my fellow commuters on the platform were covered in blood guts and brains. Fortunately for me, for the first time that year I had opted to sit in the waiting room as it was a bit nippy. I normally sat right next to where she jumped from!!

Did pigeons start eating her? Serious question.

I have a recurring nightmare about this exact scenario and I can't imagine how that doesn't turn your stomach every time you think of it.
