Hard to make out a lot of the rack gear bar the two Peterson strobe tuners and the univibe, but the mxr unit looks like a delay.

Gilmoir isn't a bad shout but there's no Big Muff.

I'll guess the edge.

Ah fuck. I see the Big Muff now tbf. When would be the question. I'm no buying that this is Dave Gilmours current day rig. Maybe 30 years ago.

Little bit of Stunt guitaring from Mr. Via, playing with Dweezil Zappa.

Solo starts at 3:00, it’s absolutely ridiculous

By ridiculous, I mean “how the fuck is he doing that? “

One of the comments under it says

“ Vai’s whammy bar needs a cigarette after that!”

New purchase today. First new electric guitar I've bought in a long time and my first tele. I'm in love already. ❤️

Looks class. I only play my Strandberg now cos of my gimpy shoulder, but I still love my tele and it's all I'd play if I could.

The simplicity is the best thing about them. No daft pickup combos to get tied up with or anything, no trem.

This shouldn't be allowed, a bald ginger playing like this (a Sultans of Swing solo in multiple styles):

Bought myself a Les Paul Jr.

Picking it up at the weekend. Gonna be catching some AIR with that thing.

They're definitely nerd guitars though, you know?

Oh yeh! But tbh id have one if I had the money.

In the house I play my Charvel or my Clapton strat! The LPJ is just for stage & studio otherwise its a deeply stupid purchase

Id have a light, playable, cool looking Strandberg in a heartbeat - but again separating what I play at home vs whats on stage.

Picked this up from a bloke in Oxford on Sunday. I’d been after an LPJ for a while and we just happened to be down south collecting a drum kit from Guildford. (The fella we bought it off had three alpacas!?)

Its a 2023 & I got it for a decent price, rather than the £1400 new it would cost. Although the quality seems to have leapt up considerably since those mid-noughties satin efforts.

It’s an incredibly resonant guitar & very harmonically rich. Essentially its a slab of quality wood with a very good pickup on - but it does the basics incredibly well and makes other guitars feel a little dull & non-reactive in comparison.

It had barely been played & still has the factory strings and plastic wrapping on, it came with a very fancy case and assorted accessories, although the strap is a bit shite

Very happy & I cant wait to gig it.

(hard to do it justice with photos but it pops in person haha)

(I also picked up a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for Live but we know how good they are)

Nice! They get a lot of undeserved hate and looked down on in some circles but LP Juniors are great.

At the Carcass show last year my uninitiated mate nearly had a coronary when I told him Bill played an old LPJ in B-Standard. He left the show converted.

Yeh its crazy good and going through the Fender Hot Rod it cuts through the mix perfectly.

Which is weird as my Orange Rocker 30 and a variation of guitars always felt like it got lost a bit on stage!

Played a show in Dresden and it was 33°c which the guitars didn’t like at all. Hard to keep em in tune, obviously I’ve never played in such heat.

2 snapped strings on the strat (more strings than i have snapped in 2 years) and the strap pin popped out of the Les Paul junior.

Quick repair with toothpick/glue + rescrew seems to have done it but wait and see.
