Kid Dynamite 7305
http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=goal...l&type=lgns After Argentina´s heroic victory over Uruguay, which booked their ticket to the World Cup, Diego Maradona confirmed the first four players that he will be taking to South Africa: Javier Mascherano, Jonas Gutierrez, Martin Palermo and Mario Bolatti. The inclusion of Mascherano won´t surprise anybody, as ever since Maradona was appointed the coach of Argentina he praised the Livepool midfielder. He gave the player the responsibility to captain the side, and said things like Argentina are "Mascherano and ten more." The case of Jonas Gutierrez is quite different, as the player earned himself a place in the side due to his fighting spirit. Maradona believes the Newcastle United midfielder is a great example for the rest of his team-mates. Meanwhile, Palermo and Bolatti will participate in South Africa next year after scoring the two crucial goals that sent Argentina to the World Cup. Palermo scored Argentina´s injury-time winner against Peru on Saturday, and Bolatti converted the only goal of the match in the win over Uruguay. Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi was once again the shadow of his club form for Argentina in Montevideo, but although yet to be confirmed, the attacker will certainly be part of Argentina´s World Cup squad. There are still 19 places up for grabs, and as has been the case throughout the World Cup qualifiers, Maradona could make a number of wild changes. Giraffidae 0
Jonas better not get too excited, I’d be surprised if Maradona was still managing them for the WC.

acrossthepond 896
Best thing Argentina can do is send the drugged-up fat bastard back to rehab and get someone with any kind of a brain in. As it is they won't stand a chance in South Africa.

Gerrard wins a penalty with a blatant dive. Beckham puts it away. Terry Butchers head explodes with delight.

Meenzer 15810
"You lot take it up the arse," were Diego Maradona's words to the press immediately after his team secured a place at next year's World Cup finals. It was almost adding injury to the insult when he scanned the room and added, "if the ladies will pardon the expression".
