Got. 'snot bad at all.

:D

Said elsewhere that this was the soundtrack for the summer.

In the words of Shakin Stevens, lovely stuff.

You got Yellow House Park Keeper?

Ain't got it. Should I??

Got two great songs from these. One is this one ft. Feist:

The other is 'Deep Blue Sea' on the same album. If you are in to this sort of stuff, Parky, then I strongly recommend the 'Dark was the Night' album. It is a brilliant compilation album, and one that introduced me to Iron & Wine (my new favourite artist!)

It's a fine album indeed. I've been giving it to people for birthdays etc. since discovering it. Anything to help their taste along a bit. :D

(Dark Was The Night, this is.)

The Books version of Nick Drake's Cello song on there is lush.

You know I never actually realised that was a Nick Drake cover :D I love Nick Drakes stuff as well.

As I said, the album introduced me to Iron and Wine. He is such a talented guy, and I was amazed that his voice sounds equally as perfect as it does on CD even when recorded on a small camera in a lift:

Such a change from hearing some bands/artists that are so much worse singing live than they are on CD with all the equipment there to make them sound good.

I was in the front row at the Sage when he was touring The Shepherd's Dog. He refused to do The Trapeze Swinger which was why everyone was there.

Worra twat. I mean, even Dylan still does Like A Rolling Stone.

Enjoyed it otherwise.

Soundtrack for the summer? Sounds like a fucking shit summer.

Popped into that new bar Surh-hurh the other day after the match, was fucking shit.

Aye aye, Chez is on the rag. :D

:D

That bar was awful (no Pina Colada? Fookin shite) and a summer soundtrack should be uplifting, breezy, full of energy and good to dance to. Everything Grizzly Bear is not.

Quite like the album when i'm horizontal though.
