Someone went in to the back of my step sister's car a while back and my niece was in with her. My niece claimed for whiplash and got £1600, genuine claim, and my sister didn't, even though she had hurt her neck a little. She still gets bother with it to this day. Renton , you are the most sanctimonious tit that I have ever come across. Should you not be in the clergy? The british standard claim for basic whiplash is between £1500 and £1800 so I guess I did ok. Did your wife really tell you she would have got more or are you just gobshiting as usual. Surely if shes so good I would hope that you have already pm'd Kestbia with her details. Tosser I'm sanctimonious because I object to people feigning injuries for compensation or conning their employers for months on end on the sick? Fine, I'm sanctimonious then. Thing is CT, if you give what I think is shitty advice to someone on here, I'm entitled to call it for what it is. And from what I've heard, Winns are not a good solicitors to use. You've actually backed that up in your description of how they operate btw, you're bascially saying they commit fraud as a matter of routine (coaching to get through medical exams etc). No solicitors of any worth should do that. Skol, feel free to PM me if you want the details of where my wife works. She doesn't personally do much 'low end' stuff like this now but it is a very respected firm and they have plenty of qualified solicitors that do, I can probably get you some direct contact details. I was going to point out that whiplash can stay hidden for up to a week and my doctor diagnosed me straight away going on the details of the accident and discomfort I told her but I couldn't be arsed to argue with the expert Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I got told that because whiplash is a soft tissue injury it can take a while to come out, due to the nature it happened. Don't be bullied in to dropping the claim because some necky bastard doesn't want to cough up for their own stupidity, once the insurance company is involved you shouldn't deal with the other party involved at all - it's what you pay your insurance for basically. He's pretty desperate to pay out of his pocket to save his insurance from sky rocketing (he'd been passed a week apparently). Never mind that it's almost always the best option to go through the insurance company. Just because it's someone that's been passed his test a week and already had a crash like that....... basically if he doesn't deserve his premiums to sky rocket, no one does. I've heard nothing from the scrote who drove into me, nor have I heard any more from his mother. I think they're still pretty peeved that i've went through the insurers as I got an email today from my insurer basically saying they're being awkward about liability but not to worry as my compulsory excess has been waived and my NCD is, at the moment, secure because they're pretty confident they'll get an admission soon. Don't bother with any contact with them, let your people talk to their people. Expect the compensation case for your neck to take at least 18 months, anything quicker is a bonus. GWS. I've only had one experience of this before and it was a bad one (Articulated lorry driver nearly ran my grandad off the road near the Angel, court ruled in lorry drivers favour despite the damage to my grandad's car being completely at odds with what lorry driver said) so as you can imagine I'm not too happy. Anyone like to regale me with positive stories so I feel slightly happier? It will not go to court. It's as clear as day from the description you gave that you were entirely clear of blame or fault. I'm amazed that the accident in October is still not seen the third parties insurance company accepting liability. You're own insurance company are being lax on this front I'd suggest. I'd say the diagram and statement are bog standard and the threat of court the third parties way of making you gulp and say 'it's not fucking worth it' - THEY WILL BACK DOWN. Have been to see a 'specialist' who will examine you and submit his report? I find that once blames accepted, the specialist does his thing that you'll be settled within 2/3 months of his report arriving in the third parties hands. It's a long long time ago these things took 18 months or two years to sort. Rear enders must be a fucking doddle for insurance companies, solicitors etc. there bread and butter. I've been walloped 7 times in the last 12 years. McKeags where by and far the best firm of solicitors I've used. And request to see Dr Tudor at the Washington Hospital. (Johns cousin!) as he is on the panel of specialists who can compile reports (your insurance company will want you to use there solicitors, specialists, physio etc but fuck them you go where you want.) Remember that your own insurance company are expecting a windfall in excess of your own. You will likely see the least £££ of all parties concerned. Get on the blower asap and blast your own insurance as this is dragging on shitloads longer than necessary.
