Is It Normal ????

I have to say I found the worm stuff in Filth pretty disturbing in a "WTF" kind of way.

I was just thinking of his work last week when I was sitting opposite a bit of a charver on the train (which is unusual on the route) and noticed he was wearing a complete "Schemie" Hilfiger outfit.

Its the scene in the book where they meet Begbie's (?) Dad down by some disused railway tracks or something. They are looking for somewhere to shoot up and the dad/tramp says 'what you doing down here lads, trainspotting?' as a joke. Shooting smack = trainspotting, in a loose sort of way.

Thats just my theory anyway.

That's almost the scene but Begbie and Renton are just going for a piss in the disused Leith Railway station. An old pisshead ('jakey' as Welsh would say) says 'What you doing lads, Trainspotting?' or something along those lines. Renton realises who it is as they're walking away (Begbie's Dad, who Begbie never sees) and Begbie, also realising who it was goes in a rage and half kills someone for looking at him the wrong way. I think it's also a more general reference to shooting heroin as well plus there's probably a few more interpretations you could get into.

Is that scene in the film? I read the book in the mid-90s so that was pretty astounding recall for me.
