Andrew 4961
Did the Guardian mention they tipped us to go down pre-season? Taylor picked Roy Keanes Ipswich (her words) to go up top of the league daft bint

Guest alex
According to the BBC commentary on saturday 3 or 4 teams made bids for him Well I think they were talking shit because I don't remember a single story of a formal bid.

Guest alex
Cos the papers are all paragons of virtue!? Most normal football clubs dont advertise any bids they make So the papers lie but the BBC tells the truth? Eh? There were loads of stories about imminent bids but there was never a single quote. And plenty clubs say they've made a formal bid when they have.
Craig 6700
If there'd been a single bid I doubt Ashley would have kept him on the books. There was evidently a rumour of an expected bid which probably accounts for his extended walk around the pitch after the Reading game but I doubt it materialised. Papa Lazaru 0
If we'd had a serious bid for him Ashley would have sold him like a shot, so either there weren't any bids or there were stupidly low bids that even ashley wouldn't accept. I'm glad there wasn't though as Taylor, Enrique and increasingly Colocini plus whoever is playing RB have been a big part of our flying start and long may it continue.
