I bought Dave Gorman's book about driving across America. I'm only a coupe of chapters in, but I hate it already. Not only do I not believe for a nanosecond that this 'adventure' wasn't a preconcieved idea as he claims (sold through a multinational publishing company, obviously), reading it is like pulling teeth. Plu he blatantly wants to nob that hatchet faced camerawoman.

Billy Connolly ( apart from the shite period when he went pc) is the Mutts .

Ardal O'Hanlon has a decent stand up, and when he's on form, Eddie Izzard is sublime.

(Anvil Springsteen anyone? )

Thought Rowan Atkinson came from Consett? He is good though, loved his stuff on Not The Nine O'Clock News.

He did indeed. Allensford to be exact. His parents owned the farm which later became the Royal Derwent Hotel - now the Derwent Manor.

It's the way you tell them Craig. ;)
