Is it a valid criticism to highlight where Jay-Z incorporates other peoples rhymes in a genre built entirely on sampling other peoples beats?

The last thing that this argument needs is developing further, like :o

The game's the game.

The Game, now there's a rapper. LAX was a class album

:o What was that I was saying about your credibility?

I don't remember because I think you're a wanker and don't take much notice of your posts...

He's done well making 11 number one albums from 2 albums worth of Biggie content like :o

This argument is known on Toontastic as "The Coldplay Defence".

Can't remember the name of the bloke who pioneered it, he flounced off soon after.

Seeing as Jay Z wrote the original lyrics for The Watcher I'll let him away with that one.

He did like, he also did a couple of other tracks on 2001. You really should know this.

That's funny because Dre's official site states it was written by eminem. They aren't even the same colour as each other, that's how wide of the mark you are.

Eminem did the chorus, Jay Z did Dre's verses. Smarten up fella.

Royce Da 5'9" didn't get any credit for his contributions to the album yet are you telling me he didn't write anything for it? I'll give you a few minutes to google who he is.

But he credits Jay-Z for Still Dre. Would it not be inconsistent to credit him on one song and not on another? Jay-Z did not write The Watcher, face it.

What the fuck do I care if he did or didn't? I maintain that he did but it's completely inconsequential to me.

You maintain that he did but have been unable to find a single website backing your theory up. Keep googling, you need to find one, for the sake of your credibility! Ironic really, considering that you talk about my creditibility earlier in the thread and then pull this off :o
