ok, a squad of 30, but i count at least 13 with little to no experience (in bold below). injuries to say 3 or 4 key players will leave us looking stretched. promotion is no certainty, despite the good start. yesterday's performance was evidence that we won't walk the division as some are predicting. a valuable win, yes. but apart from the first 20 minutes, we never controlled the game

only thing i would add to that is we have fuck all (experienced) cover at the back. a couple of injuries/suspensions will leave us in DEEP shit defensively!! I think playing the numbers game is slightly misleading as we've got loads of midfielders, a credible no. of strikers, but few defenders.

heard a rumour were getting Leon Cort on loan tho so that'll help out there (if it actually happens that is). still need a LB as well IMO (as cover for Enrique).

But, While it lasts, i shall be making hay in the sunshine!!! TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNN!!!!!!!!

But you could argue that we've already been tested at the back and up front so far and come up trumps.

When I saw that Ranger was our only recognised striker available v Leicester and Cardiff, I thought there's no way we'd score, yet the midfield picked up the slack.

And, again v Leicester, I didn't think Simpson would do too well at centre back, but he came in and did well.

But you're right. For me, we three new players in on loan - one striker and two defenders.

I think, at the moment, the boss is taking the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' point of view.

Remember the time we were top of the (other) league and we bought in a player, which shook things up a bit too much, setting up the eventual downfall?

The best thing about loans is that you can do them at short notice. If we get an injury in a key position, the boss can sort out a loan in two days or so.

Loan players will always want to come to a successful side.

But I doubt we'll need them in the next four games.
