Just got back in. Good days entertainment, feeling knackered though. Drinking from 10.30am doesn't suit me. Why do the stewards confiscate beach balls and chuck people out for making beer snakes in the barmy army area? Surely if you get tickets for there you know its going to be lively?

Most of the stewards were good craic and just let you get on with it but there was one jobsworth, complete with headset, who took it upon himself to act like a complete wanker.

Good game. I've got really bad sunburn :o

Swann was quality (toon fan too). Worrying how England tend to collapse in a heap as soon as Strauss is out. We were in the county stand which was in the shade for the aussies innings, it must've been 10 degrees cooler until the sun came round. I'm knackered now, going to bed.

A TELEVISION cameraman had to be rescued at a cricket match after his platform became stuck above a packed stadium.

The Sky cameraman was trapped 60ft above 17,000 cricket fans at the Riverside Stadium, Chester-le-Street, after the mechanism failed on his extendable platform as he filmed the England v Australia one day international.

Firefighters were called to the scene shortly before 2.30pm and used an aerial rescue platform to lift him to safety.

The man was said to be distressed, but otherwise unharmed after the 90-minute ordeal.

I wondered what was going on over there

Amateur. Began with my first Stella on the train at 8.40am.

We were sat right on the boundary edge, and gave Hilfenhaus so much (good natured) stick he was replaced with the rather more resilient Brett Lee, who gave as good as he got.

Wish I'd taken today off work though.
