Basically I think Its fucked....

I have one of the newish really slim Nano models and left my cable at work and had no way of charging it up. So I borrowed my sisters ipod mains charger for a different type of nano (the square one). It made a horrendous screeching noise when I plugged it in and now whenever I try it the noise coming out is completely crackly and I cannot hear the music.

I think I know the answer to this already (no) but can this be fixed?

Also, I don't have the receipt, but do have the manufacturers warranty. Its less than a year old, can I ring apple to get a replacement? (Im 28 going 12 when it comes to sorting stuff like this out)

I'd take it back to where I bought it from with the warranty if you have no reciept did you buy it on a credit card? take your statement for proof of purchase and deny everything. Tell em you charged it like normal and now when you try to play it at just doesn't work properly. They'll prob send it away to be looked at so you'll either get it back fixed or they'll replace it. Shy bairns get nowt. Give it a go.

I have the 3G Nano (square one) and a guy at work has the 4G Nano and he's borrowed my mains charger in the past so doubt it's the charger at fault.

Go on the apple website and set up a service request. They'll send you the packaging to send it to them in, and when they receive it they'll send you one back that works straight away.

How much do you bum apple by the way? :)
