Kid Dynamite 7323 Posted September 3, 2009 Share Posted September 3, 2009 Ive got to figure out how to get 6 people to Heathrow for 6am and back to Newcastle 5 days later for the cheapest way possible!? - Flying from Newcastle is out cos the first flight of the day lands too late - 6 return train tickets + hotel rooms overnight is going to be a big expense - Cheapest way would be to drive down and leave my car in the carpark at the airport but . . . . I cant fit 6 people in my car and, again, 2 cars + petrol + parking fees adds up Does anyone know if rental companies will hire out a people carrier in newcastle and let you return it the following day to the Heathrow office? It looks like its going to cost at least £70 to hire an mpv for the day anyway so youre probably right what do those prices include though? parking, petrol ? Kid Dynamite 7323 Posted September 3, 2009 Author Share Posted September 3, 2009 To take our own 2 cars down its probably gona be £60 petrol each car for the the round trip and and £35 each car to park for 5 days. 3 per car = £33 each. To hire a 6 seater is looking nearer £70 each way for hire + £60 petrol which again will probably work out at around £33 each give or take, but then you have the hassle of picking it up, dropping it off, £1k excess if you crash etc. Would be a lot easier if I knew someone with a big car but you dont find many twenty somethings with a 7seater people carrier tbh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
