Norbert Colon 0
Given the circumstances he's an excellent loan signing. And what's more, he doesn't have to be the only one. Can certainly see which of those on here have no recollection of the pre-Keegan times. When you compare Harewood to the likes of Terry Wilson, Tommy Gaynor, Paul Moran, Andy Walker & Dave Mitchell on loan, he's streets ahead of them by comparison. Divint knock Terry Wilson he would have been mint if he could have stopped falling over and giving the ball away - Andy Walker was a machine .........in scotland

Can't remember Dave Mitchell like but the rest of them , friggin hell nee body must have seen them play before they were brought in, Wilson was slower than Nolan but still managed to get a succession of hamstring injuries(?) and Walker was the weakest player I have ever seen , I reckon Lee Makel could have arm wrestled him. You don't remember Mitchell? Bearded Aussie born in Scotland (?) scored the only goal against Blackburn at the Gallowgate end and the scoreboard stated "That's the magic of Mitchell!" David Kelly 1224
Was just about to ask if Mitchell was the bearded bloke. For some reason I have a positive memory of him and didn't think Walker was too bad either. The others were gash. Was Rob McDonald on loan too or did we actually sign him? 2bias 3
On Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood: "Marlon was one of the numerous names we looked at - again we were unable to do business. From Chris Hughton is that not about signing him on a permanent deal? Was about a loan because it also mentioned the Northern Ireland guy

blackandwhiteboy 0
Didnt Harewood have a decent season once for West Ham? I agree what J2J says, wise words. Yeah, he's done well at Championship level in the past and also had one decent year in the Prem. He's hardly an exciting long term option but I reckon he'd score a few goals in this division. God no, we actually signed him. One of two that Colin Suggett bought between McFaul leaving and Smith joining. The other player he bought was Liam O'Brien
khay 10
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5574012,00.html Harewood set for Toon move Marlon Harewood's agent has confirmed the Aston Villa striker is poised to join Newcastle on loan. Newcastle have lined up a move for Harewood as they seek to bolster their attacking options after losing Shola Ameobi to long-term injury. The Magpies tried to sign Harewood during the transfer window only for a foot injury to delay any move. Harewood is now back to fitness and is keen to be playing regular first-team football after finding himself well down the pecking order at Villa Park. The striker's representative, Phil Sproson, confirmed Harewood is keen on a move to Newcastle and is hopeful of finalising a deal later this week. "I believe we are close to agreeing everything and hopefully the move can be finalised later this week," Sproson told skysports.com. "Talks are ongoing between both clubs and I think they are keen to get it resolved. "Marlon is back to fitness now and he is ready and raring to go. "Marlon is very keen on going to Newcastle and playing regular first-team football again."

Deano 0
Harewood and Carroll would be good in the CCC, and with the likes of Ranger and Lovenkrands to fall back on it doesnt look to bad. Where else do you think we need to strenghten after bringing in Zurab Kishbinishbalooloo? Im thinking we could maybe do with a left-back and maybe a winger who could play on both sides? Isnt Harewood more of a big tall target man instead of a shorty who runs around a lot? I could be wrong, but thats the impression I got
