bobbyshinton 59
Bit of a pisser for Ranger. First Lovenkrands now Harewood. Hope the lad still gets chances to play. I don't give a fuck who plays as long as they are the best player available. agree and it is better to have a choice.
JUICE690 0
Don't have a problem with more cover. Just think Ranger did well enough in his first team debut to earn a few more starts.

Guest alex
Don't have a problem with more cover. Just think Ranger did well enough in his first team debut to earn a few more starts. At the same time he didn't look like he could lead the line very well on his own. He just doesn't look ready. Nothing against the lad but if Shola and Carroll are injured it would be a big ask of Ranger to play upfront away in the Championship in particular. Park Life 71
If he's running really fast when he runs into you it really hurts apparently.
khay 10
Quite easily have him in on loan. People need to remember what level we are actually at and stop turning there noses up at players who would be more than good enough for this squad. Not turning up my nose. Just don't think he is all that great for this level. But then I never would have thought shola would have had 5 goals by now.
The Fish 10978
I'd be happy with this. Can't imagine we'll be paying a lot for his services, we're not tied to it long term and he should do well enough at this level. Don't understand why people are against his move here? Sure he's no Shola, but he's a big strong quick centre forward who's got experience both at this level and in the top flight. Were people expecting Macheda on loan or something? Guest alex
I'd love to know who we'd get on loan who be a better option. And while we're short on defenders, especially a centre-half, makeshift defenders can usually do a job more easily than makeshift forwards whereas if you've got proper forwards you'll always cause the opposition problems, especially at this level. NJS 4418
Sure he's no Shola The more options we have for when Ameobi reverts to his true self the better. I don't think he's done well because of the level - he's just had his very occassional good spell.

I seem to remember Caroll being unavailable a fair bit in the short time since he broke into the first team squad too.

NJS 4418
Piss taking is fair enough but I must stamp on any suggestion that the bloke isn't utterly, utterly shit with a ruthlessness than can obscure my joke radar.
Gemmill 46220
Aren't we still supposed to boo him for kicking a hole in Given's intestines. Or do we celebrate that now that Given sold his soul to an Arab

Giraffidae 0
with Shola out for a couple of months, Lovenkrands unfit at the mo’, and Carroll with dubious fitness, it’s a no brainer, get him in. The only thing that worries me is announcing it to the world first and alerting other clubs.

Christmas Tree 4865
It's because hull were about to sign him on proper wages etc on a three year deal then pulled out at the last minute. We were only offering the loan which at the time was a poor deal in comparison. Now our deal is the only show in town (so far)
wykikitoon 20933
Didnt Harewood have a decent season once for West Ham? I agree what J2J says, wise words.
Craig 6700
Given the circumstances he's an excellent loan signing. And what's more, he doesn't have to be the only one. Can certainly see which of those on here have no recollection of the pre-Keegan times. When you compare Harewood to the likes of Terry Wilson, Tommy Gaynor, Paul Moran, Andy Walker & Dave Mitchell on loan, he's streets ahead of them by comparison.
