Gejon 2
I get very stressed at work but 9 times out of ten as soon as I am out that door I am no longer bothered. Its been building up a lot recently and before work this morning I was really stressed about things, I have been left in the shit big time with a lot of new people to my department but all the experience leaving but I managed to get a lot of things sorted out today, a new way of working and feel much, much better for it. It's still shit but had a good chat with my boss today and she thinks along the same lines as I do, she has told me to let her know everything I need and she will get it sorted. Its a great help knowing we are on the same wavelength Edited August 26, 2009 by Gejon

The Fish 11079
I reckon on the odd occasions I bring stress home I'm over it by the time I'm out of the shower*. Mostly the only thing that pisses me off are people being inconsiderate or useless. the work itself simply never affects me like that. I'm lucky in that regard, I guess. My Dad used to come home stressed to the point that the best way for us to deal with it was not talk about it and go for a pint instead. British family life mate , hide it deep deep down until it eats away at you and you become bitter and resentful, only forcing smiles to make everybody's life easier. Makes you proud dunnit! (*no not because of that )

The Fish 11079
just twats at BT being twatty and twatfully-unhelpful. Just struck me as typical that, after saying I'm never really bothered by the job itself, I have a day being pissed off because of the work, rather than workmates being shit. sweetleftpeg 0
I've never let work overlap home life. My old man worked to live, not live to work, and rightly or wrongly I've stuck with that. I've had some rough rides and stressful times with it, having to do 3 people's jobs at the same time at the start of this year was probably the most stressful, but working in the voluntary sector this happens quite a bit so you just get on with it. Happy Face 29
I've got a yoghurt in the fridge nearing it's use by date that's worrying me more than work. [/Gordon Strachan]
Guest Stevie
You seem understandably pissed off. \my advice would be to not do anything rash Stevie. Try and have a think about your options when you're feeling a little bit calmer about things. Strangely I've noticed the best time to actually think calmly is the first half hour after waking. You're right, and the worst times are before tea/after work, and late at night. You seem understandably pissed off. \my advice would be to not do anything rash Stevie. Try and have a think about your options when you're feeling a little bit calmer about things. Aye I took a step back, I feel fine now, the owner of the company who in effect is everybody's boss gave me the bollocking, normally he would've given it to my divisional manager, but he's on holiday right now and I'm next in the firing line after him. I made a big error which on Wednesday looked like it had cost the company £12,000, but we've managed to turn it round, and only ended up costing £700. Wednesday was a bad day though, I was contemplating buying a kalashnikov and everything hehe nah. To be fair to him he actually spoke to me that night, and apologised for dealing with me harshly and said I was a big asset to the company as I had a lovely way of dealing with clients and had a nice personality, news to me like but it lifted me spirits. Am still keeping me options open though, maybe this week was what I needed to make me realise I need to avoid stagnating. There's a few of you on the dole at the minute, good luck to you, but remember the recession won't last forever and there'll be a huge boom the next time it comes up, but my uneducated guess is we're at least 12 months away from that point.
