Guest alex
I thought he was an all right utility defender, who wasn't on huge wages and who was likely to give more of a shit than Colo come Christmas. Pretty much.
Guest alex
Edgar was no loss so who really gives a rat's arse? Time will tell. Especially if we get a few injuries at the back.
ewerk 31238
Edgar was no loss so who really gives a rat's arse? Good utility player, as has been said. It's more indicative of the tight penny pinching that has been going on with the club. A low-cost player who could prove to be crucial during the season if we get a few injuries and was allowed to leave for next to fuck all. A business decision with no footballing rationale. sammynb 3538
His Dad was at Newcastle, aye. Not sure if he even played for the 1st time though. Also rumoured that Edgar wanted to stay but we offered him a shit contract so he went to Burnley instead. You were doing so well anarl Just doing my Ricky Ponting impression. Really? Great, you 'll be fucking off home soon then, never to return. Fuck no, can't you keep the whining, useless cunt a little longer? At least until we've pushed Tasmania outside of Australian waters!?!! Pretty much. Another in the mould of Steve Watson & Aaron Hughes IMO. Both who we lived to regret selling and I think we'll do the same with Edgar. Cracking shot on him too as Man Utd & Liverpool could testify.

And i know Burnley are hardly premiership giants, but their manager obviously thought Edgar was good enough for a shot at the prem, yet we didn't offer him a contract to play in the championship whe he was already here and our player. He struglled at fullback because he isn't one, but when he played centreback i liked the look of him, and certainly for this level. Also he's young and like Taylor, more likely to be bothered than some other players here.

Papa Lazaru 0
Should loan him back down here for a season... Sadly that's where we are though isn't it, we'd be greatful for some prem teams to loan us a couple of young prospects to bolster our squad these days. You'd hope that we've at least asked some of the other big teams apart from manu for a player or two, if they said no then fair enough, but i'd like to think we've tried. I imagine that there would be plenty clubs who would want their youth to get some experience. However, I also imagine that Ashley wouldn't take anyone unless we weren't paying any of their wages. The Fish 10978
Wellbeck, Wilshere, Rodwell, Defuonso(sp?), couple of West Hams lads, off the top of my head.

Guest alex
Read some reports that Wilshire may even break into the first team this season too. In any case we'll have missed the boat surely with regards to decent loan players by now.

Yeah, I was't giving a shopping list, I was just reeling off a few young lads that I know are on the verge of breaking into their respective first-teams, but not quite. Lads that would benefit from a season in the physically demanding Championship. I mean, Rodwell and Wilshere are both central midfield, not somewhere we're especially weak.
