IrishMag 0 Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Ashley ousted by the fans who tell me they won't be making any investment in the club So I've barely spent a penny, had Harewood and Anichebe on loan who got me promoted via getting 6th on the last day on goal difference, and beating Forest on penalties in the final. Had to sell Gutierrez but got shag all of that money to spend. Got Deco free and Malouda for £2.5m, they were my biggest signings. Took in Burdisso on a free, but seriously lacking firepower up front. Lovenkrands is my top scorer! Sitting around mid table, managed to win 1-0 at Anfield and beat Arsenal 1-0 at home, and also beat Sunderland 2-1 in the first game. Its bloody tough! Andrew 4747 Posted November 3, 2009 Share Posted November 3, 2009 I signed kikín fonseca up front and ivan de la pena for midfield, took de laet on loan now that simpsons gone playing a 442/433 sort of thing, flat back four 2cms 1 RM then a further forward left winger and 2 cfs which is doing me nicely takeover not happened yet(im in jan now) a consortium came in then pulled out so no idea what will happen now I'm atthe top of the table about 10 clear of 3rd place so i think im on course to go up Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Really couldve been able to do better, I dropped 6 points to Bristol City twice (OUCH!) Lost to the Mackems 2-0 at home as well. On a good note, I managed draws with Liverpool and Man United, and almost beat Arsenal 2-1, but they scored 2 in the last 5 minutes. So its summer now, and I've been backed with £20M spending money. I've already got De Jong in for like 5M, and I'm considering whether bringing in Nasri is worth the 4.5M. khay 10 Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Signed Bently for 2.8 million after selling Nolan and Mark Kerr (I got him on a free and got 1.1m for him) Also sold Davenport for 1.9 after having him for 6 months again for free. easiest start ever. Beat Fulham/Stoke and pompey but lost to spurs away. I will post a screenie of my team later just past the transfer window.
