How's Smolarek doing for you lot?

He's not exactly setting the world alight in my game. Camara has been getting the goals in his stead though.

Same tbh, but he keeps the ball well and runs at defenders for me, only striker that can do that, rest are target mans really.

Only scored one in seven mind but got plenty of assists and just generally plays well. Ranger is another candidate for striker, been playing fantastic when being brought on.

EDIT: Guti's just scored a scorcher :D

Cant believe it. Got a goal disallowed on 80th minute. Blackpool score an "offside" goal in the 83rd minute, then a Stevie harper error in the 91st minute gives them a 2-1 win.

This game just wants to fuck me over :D

:D

sound you've been screwed as badly as me.

Taken over by a consortium who're going to pump a whole £240k into the coffers and probably replace me with Curbishley

Since you get nowt to start with I just waited a month then demanded some money and he gave me some. I was expecting no more than £100k tbh. Anyways my plan is to spend it all and put the fat bastard further into debt so hopefully he will fuck off.

JUST beat Plymouth, 2 goals from Smolarek in the first half, then Plymouth scored in the 85th minute, thought they would get a draw but I held on :D

EDIT: And just as I say I get the news i've been hoping for. Newcastle chairman to step aside.

Okay my second season in the championship is going about the same after just keeping my job over the summer...

2nd couple of points clear just coming up to the transfer window.

I have Vladec on loan signed Saha on a free and Xisco actually getting me goals this season.

Bolton are about 7 points clear of me in first, But I have Boro, Blackburn and Burnley all chasing me down.

I'm losing money left right and center and the fans are unhappy I let Butt and some pish youngster leave on a free. :D

Can't see what you're complaining about, takeover aside (they are random and the "cheap" takeover seems more common than the sugar daddy one), the game is fairly realistic. We know there's a lot of dross in this league and all it would have taken for us to have a good punt at it was some sensible management since our first 11 is well above that of others in the league. It doesn't need a tactical genius, you just need to keep the bulk of the squad fit and healthy and pad it out with freebies and loans. The real challenge is keeping us in the league in the second season. Obviously that's been made easier for by your takeover but it won't happen for everyone. The odds might be 1 in 10 of it happening. So the rest of us will have to wheel and deal and try to make the most of what we can get by finding a good solid tactic.

with all the money in the world i shouldn't be able to convince Aguero and veloso to come to a newly promoted side who aren't in europe

Newly promoted side with high reputation and offering big wages?

Man City are not in Europe and before we got relegated had about the same reputation like.

Halfway through second season now, doing really well, I'm in 10th!

Summer Transfers:

Out:

Let Geremi leave on a free

Loaned about 7 or so young guns out

In:

Marc Crosas (CM, DM) Free

Victor Obinna (ST) Free

Louis Saha (ST) Free

Diego Cavallieri (GK) £5.75M

Roque Santa Cruz (ST) £5.75M

Nobby Solano!!! Free!!!

Stephane Sessignon (RM) £10M

Really happy with my signings currently playing with the following formation:

--------------Santa Cruz---------------

Jonas---------------------------Sessignon

---------Skjelbred---Smith-----------------

--------------Crosas--------------------------

Enrique--STaylor--Colo--RTaylor

--------------Cavallieri----------------

Ill rotate Rainggolan and Barton on for some of the CMs, Jonas and Sessignon are terrors on the wing, its a joy to behold. Also, Smithy has absolutely been banging them in. Ive had some key results against top of the table sides, with draws against liverpool and man u away. Lost in the League Cup semi-final 3-2, fucking colo got sent off in the 2nd leg :D. Just lost to Bristol City 4-1 in the 4th round of the fa cup, dumb move on my part, played krul and a bunch of other young guys.
