I was thinking more your 60/70s Leak, Sansui, Kenwood type stuff - doesn't cost a bomb but has a quality all of its own. That said Marantz stuff from the 80/90s is still good. By the way Laz how does it sound? And Rob you are correct and wrong, as usual You don't need to spend $$$ on speakers but you can also have great, expensive speakers hooked up to a complete loss of an amp and never know they are good. tinofbeans 91 Posted August 17, 2009 Share Posted August 17, 2009 i've had to sell off a load of stuff recently due to unemployment, but keep my studio stuff intact. that arcam stuff lazarus has is rather nifty. i had an old linn cd player and a rather nice DAC that went with it. yamaha amp.....
